R E A D I N G!'If the egotist is weak, his egotism is worthless. If the egotist is strong, acute, full of distinctive character, his egotism is precious, and remains a possession of the race.'

This may sound a little bit absurd, or maybe not, but the fact is most of the human population is ambivert. Isn't it considerate that all of us switch from being introvert to extrovert according to the situational demands? That is what was happening with Lucifer, but for anybody who knew him would assume that he is gone nuts, because for some reasons he was so happy in Hyderabad. He didn't have the time to visit all the places of Hyderabad nor the hour to enjoy the beauty of this city, but still a certain two people were giving him happy vibes, a dementors kiss also couldn't snatch this feeling from him, he believes. The strong desire for having a better day than before was making him feel more humane, that didn't allow him to think about his goal of taking over the ship industry, defeat the person who gave him all the reasons in becoming a real man.
Lucifer kept staring at the walls of St Joseph's Cathedral, either his dizziness for being so early here in the morning were confusing his cones with the difference of yellow and beige color or he was turning into a monkish insane, for ten minutes he kept arguing with himself about the color of the wall, lastly deciding it was a mix of both to satisfy his own ego.
That is the beauty of ego - Freud defined the ego as the rational and realistic part of the human mind. It is concerned with the desire for pleasure but can navigate a reasonable strategy to obtain this goal without compromising the moral and ethical demands of society, thus also satisfying the superego.
That is what he did, neither accepting yellow nor beige, better with the mix of both.
On this basis every human is same, because at some point the human ego becomes more important than somebody close in our life, unless the superego is satisfied there is no peace.
That is the reason Lucifer isn't attaining peace even sitting in the most intriguingly peaceful place of the world, he isn't accustomed going into temples because, being always the son of his father he only learnt to recite the Bible while his sister learnt to follow both the religions, quite a complicated family history he has.
From years he has come to know that their parents' was a beautiful love marriage while some other say it was completely arranged, because his grandparents wanted to show the society that religion shouldn't become a hurdle in the path of humanity, the purpose of it is majorly a belief to keep faith in life, not to kill each other on the name of religious feudal disputes.
Finally the time has come to return back to Goa, which he wasn't ready with because still many things were left incomplete here. Although he didn't want to admit, but denial isn't a very good option also, so he knows he is going to miss Samanvitha, their interactions were vividly strange but maybe that's what made them beautifully memorable.
He should be actually happy in returning back to Goa because his everything was there, his girlfriend who was worried sick about his well being, that is what the celebrity thing was about. Ronit being the extra chivalrous one made it even a big deal in conveying, almost scaring Lucifer that they knew something about his family connection, instead it was about the fit Fatima was throwing since she came to know about him landing in jail because of her father, that is how she made it famous to half the Goa of how Lucifer is so great fighting goons alone, of course leaving the part about being stuck with a girl though.
Daraseem Bahra, the only thorn of his road to success or maybe a man helping him get a step closer to success, was waiting to give him the west port link details himself, which would be attaining a milestone of Lucifer's plan to takeover, he would no more need to worry about working with headache Naav. His bestfriend from a drama club, Ronit, who had somehow made a place in his life was waiting for him there, his everything was perfectly set in Goa which would give justice to his dead sister but still it felt so incompletely alluring.
People say ego is the source of much of our material success. Our sense of self-esteem or self-importance. Our ego gets us through the day, successfully creating confidence where uncertainty lurks, setting us higher on our own pedestal of success and cementing our importance in daily life.
Maybe self importance was making it more difficult for him to depart from this city, although he had the perfect plan to even bring Aaradhna to meet his mother as promised, but something felt out of place.
This city was starting to feel more like home, warm interactions, and also how could he forget that here the competitions of bike racing were more compared to Goa, but it was not the time for him to fulfill his dreams because in the balance weighing always the responsibility side is more heavier.
It was time he gear up all his energy and thoughts channeled to his goal, when he stood up against his father for the first time he had no idea what he was doing, but he knew that was right thing to do, only if he knew how much difficult the path of revolt was ahead.
Lucifer knew the days have come to show his father that how brutally wrong he has been all his life, it was time to show the world of how much powerful a lady's wrath can be, how motivating her thoughts could be.
The realisation that this beige mix yellow walls has helped him sort his priorities was refreshing, now he suddenly felt more confident and determined to return back to Goa.
Samanvitha was a beautiful phase of his life, he loved the time spent with her, but he knew she wasn't worth the risk of losing all his hardwork and goal of attaining his sister's dream.
She will always remain one of the best memories of his life.
