Keith's POV

When they get back, they all pile into the lounge. Keith watches with amusement as everyone displays their finds. Pidge found another game from the Earth store. Hunk shows off some spices and herbs he bought. Allura got lots of shiny jewelry, her eyes glittering like the gems on her necklace.

"Pretty gems for a pretty gem," Lance flirts, shooting Allura a wink. The Princess rolls her eyes and smacks the boy gently in the head.

Coran got some obscure artifacts with long names from an Unilu swap shop. Shiro got a book with training and team bonding exercises, excited about all the new forms of torture he can put the team through tomorrow. Lance bought a bunch of skincare creams and stuff. Then the boy pulls out a book and hands it to Keith.

"You were staring at in that store, so I got it for you," Lance says sheepishly. A cute blush paints his cheeks and his hand rubs the back of his neck. Keith is pretty sure he's blushing, too, and he takes the book from Lance's outstretched hand. Lord of the Rings Trilogy.

"Thanks, Lance. When I was younger, this was my favorite book," Keith says, smiling.

"Probably all of the hot guys in it," Pidge quips, smirking. Keith chuckles.

"Probably. I think Aragorn is my favorite," Keith says.

"Did you get anything at the mall, Keith?" Shiro asks. Keith shakes his head, his eyes still on the cover of his book.

"So, did you just sit in a break room for hours?" Allura asks dubiously.

"No, I was drawing," Keith answers. His mind is still rooted on his book, and he doesn't pay enough attention to what he says.

"What did you draw?" Hunk asks. Keith's eyes widen as the words catch up to him.

"I-I. Umm..." Keith stumbles, his face red.

"Do you have them with you?" Allura wonders, frowning at his empty hands (except for his book).

"I- umm, no," Keith squeaks, lying through his teeth. Shiro picks up on it immediately.

"Liar. Come on, they're just pictures. We promise not to laugh or anything. We just wanna see them," Shiro pleads, giving Keith the puppy-dog face. Keith turns away from Shiro, but all of the paladins are giving him identical puppy-dog looks. Keith groans loud and long, but eventually he pulls the folder from its hiding spot.

"You can look at them, but I'm leaving," he declares. He flops the folder onto the couch and makes a quick exit. He hears one of them pick up the folder and open it before the door closes behind him.
