"Oh... my... Slender... I don't know if I can take this anymore."
BEN glances over at Keith as words leave his mouth. A heavy sigh leaves BEN's chest and he nods to himself, silently agreeing to Keith's complaint. In between BEN and Keith was Terror, the creature that had murdered Night. The odd, uppity creature who was bouncing around with his hands pressed together while rambling on about nonsense. BEN twirled in the air, floating a good five feet above the ground with his back turned towards the ground. His ghostly bangs flopped downwards, mimicking gravity. A grimace dresses BEN's pale face and he looks over at Keith again. Even upside down and through the dark, BEN could see the frown on Keith's face. Keith reaches his right hand up to scratch the back of his head in hopes to release some of the tension.
Terror, still rambling on and on about something to do with lizards and teddy bears (how are those even related?), has his widely opened eyes glued on Keith. "Hey-" Keith tries to speak, but Terror is still talking and doesn't stop. "And then I poked at its tummy! I was wondering oh how yummy! Curious, yes. Yes, I was curious. The stitches on it were so delightful, I did it myself. Yes, yes, and it gawked at me! Gawked! How rude! And-" A quick shout leaves Keith before Terror could let out another word. "HEY!" Terror flinches a bit and scrunches up his nose, his happy eyes appearing more menacing and upset now. "Do you ever shut up? Like damn, dude. Do you even actually know Masky?" Keith's eyes are narrowed, his red pupils slit like a snake's. Terror makes a strange clicking sound from his throat and throws his head dramatically to the side away from Keith. Excepting some sort or back talk, Keith's scowl tightens and the crease in his brown tightens. Well as Keith waited for a retort, he instead received no such thing.
Keith raises a brow and peaks at BEN. Their eyes met and BEN, still upside down, shrugs at him. Shaking his head, Keith sighs and just focuses on walking, returning his eyes ahead of him. Whatever. I'm just thankful for this silence. It's a damn miracle. Keith thinks, his face remaining stern. Time passes as the three travel onward and to Keith's relief, it was all without a sound. BEN also didn't quite care for Terror's constant babbling, but he also didn't quite care for dead silence. Especially after an awkward exchange of looks between the two he was travelling with. BEN finally flipped himself over in the air and let his legs hang loosely below him, his feet just above the ground. "So, I'm going to go ahead and be the one to break the silence." BEN clears his throat and looks over to catch both Keith and Terror's gaze. Keith's eyes looked as if they were begging BEN not to get Terror started and Terror's eyes looked as if... well as if he was ready to get started.
"Ah... well I think we need to talk about what we're going to do. Like form a plan just in case we can't find Jeff and Night before we get to Masky. Just in case. Also we need to figure out what we're going to do if we run into Mr. Whooshy Horns if he makes yet another appearance." After speaking, Keith lets out a small laugh. BEN puffs out his lips and shoots a glare Keith's way. "What? I'm being serious here and you're laughing? I don't think I said anything funny..." Keith shakes his head and smirks. "It's just weird. I figured you'd be just like Jeff since you guys are so tight. But you're obviously a lot more useful and smarter than he is." A small sigh leaves BEN and he says, "Well thank you but y'know, Jeff really isn't that bad. I know you two got beef with each other but he's really not a bad guy and he's smarter than you think. He definitely has his own way of doing things too. Just... try not to hate him so much, 'kay?"
Terror looks up at BEN and a wide, toothed grin spreads on his face. "Jeff! That's right! I got a glance of him earlier and I wondered why he looked so familiar! Hahaha, I heard my sweet call his name when my stuffies had pulled them down for me. Hmm..." Terror glances down, his eyes slitting. "I have only felt remorse once in my life and that was when I was first created. I wondered if I would ever feel it again and... and here it is. Hahaha..." Terror's voice had dropped in pitch and instead of his normal, rushed way of speaking, he was speaking in a hushed tone. "I'm like an animal, you see. Yes, yes and animal. I'm as dangerous as a grizzly and attack like one. I imprint as well; though that isn't something I do on purpose. Again with the remorse – oh the remorse – that I only felt in my dawn of existence, I have only imprinted once. Though it wasn't really my choice to imprint... I was created as a guardian of a child. I was to protect him and watch over him..." With Terror leaving a long pause after his sentence, Keith used it as an opportunity to speak. "Uh, Stitches, we didn't really ask for a backstory..." Keith's voice was defensive since he had no idea what could happen next with the creature. Sadistic Terror killed Night so viciously, it's more than possible that he could do the same to Keith before he could escape into the shadows. Terror lifts his head, keeping his stare ahead of him while taking in a deep breath and releasing it. "No, no, no... No you didn't. I'm feeling so many odd feelings. I'm feeling, feeling. The witch created me for that child. That was my only purpose. I was just a doll..." Terror continued to talk, and Keith and BEN looked at each other and just shook their heads and stayed quiet as they walked on.
