The chirping of birds rang throughout the vast forest of coniferous trees. Rays of sunlight peak through the treetops from here to there, allowing light to wash into the dim area flooded by towering trees. When the birds weren't singing, wind gently caressing the leaves high above could be heard. It was a very harmonious atmosphere. A peaceful aura that contained the moving bodies of those who handles the innocent. Keith was ahead of BEN still as they navigated through the foliage; Night still lay securely in Keith's sleeved arms. "That's weird, man." BEN was the first to make some sort of noise other than birds. Keith made a questioning grunt, his eyes still fixed forward. BEN stuck his lips out and grimaced, "Dude, you like... your pajamas went into a poof of black. And then when the black was gone, BAM. A hoodie, some jeans and normal shoes. Like... what the hell." For the past few hours, BEN had been questioning the odd transformation of clothing that Keith had done without having to stop or anything. "Cool shadow magic. That's all you need to know to understand it." Keith grins, keeping himself from laughing at his own explanation. BEN nods his head to himself, confirming in his mind that it had to make sense.

Keith let his eyes trail down to his arms to check on Night. Her eyes were closed and her breath shallow, her chest rising and falling slowly. He examine the scar over her right eye. It was interesting since it was the shape of an 'X'. He recalled what Night had told him she called the eye... The eye of Slender. She had said it with unease when she told him, due to her fear for the being at that time. Keith returned his gaze to the undecided path ahead of him. Anxiety kept instinctively flooding Keith as he thought about Night. Like what in the world happened at Splendorman's mansion? He didn't want to pester her to tell him what happened, but he was very concerned on what his uncle could have said. He was also worried about her ankle. A couple hours ago, he and BEN had stopped and found some random bark and twigs to use as a temporary brace for Night's ankle, but the brace might not actually be as effective as hoped for the time being. Stop getting yourself in all sorts of trouble, shorty. Keith thought to himself, instead of saying anything aloud since there was another person with him.

"Heeeey, can we stop here? I'm tiiiired." BEN groaned, floating on his back. Keith shook his head and clicked his tongue. "You're tired? I'm actually walking and you're floating. I'm also carrying extra weight, so it makes it more difficult. But have I complained once? No." A grunt came from BEN as Keith just continued walking, giving an unwanted answer to BEN's question. A couple minutes went by with silence before BEN spoke up again. "Well, that's even more reason we should stop. Man, you sure deserve a break." He waited, hopeful, for Keith's response. His hope was immediately shot down with a quick "Nope" from Keith. "You suck, dude." BEN groaned and started rolling in mid-air, still going forward. Keith was thinking of a comeback when he felt a tug at his hoodie strings. He looked down to see Night's eyes open and staring up at him. It caught him a little off guard and he felt himself heat up.

"Woah. Scary. Don't startle me like that, that's a little creepy. Haven't you ever watched a horror movie?" He said, raising both eyebrows. Night scowled, "Shut up. I can't tell if you're mocking me or not." Keith laughed at what Night said and smirked as he kept his eyes forward. "NIGHT!!" Well, she was expecting the next words said to be from Keith but instead BEN butted in the conversation. "How are you feeling?" He said quickly, sounding like a child worried about whether or not he'll get to go to the candy store. Night blinked and looked up at BEN who was floating over Keith's shoulder to look at her. "I'm..." She stopped and went into her thoughts. She was shitty. Her ankle was pulsing with an annoying stinging sensation and the first thought she had when waking up was the Splendorman mess. "Peachy." Night finished dryly. BEN's eyes narrowed, his red iris burning into Night's eyes. "Lies."

Night averted her stare and hissed. She didn't want people to pry. He could have just took the reply and let it be. "Tell me, hun, what's weighing down on yah? If it's Jeff, I'll kick his scrawny white ass when I see him." The golden haired spirit promised, his stare still on Night's face. Night let out huff of air from her nose to substitute a laugh. "Oh no, you're thinking of his buns, aren't you? I didn't mean to describe them. Yeah, I'd assume they're pale as snow, but-" Night decided to cut BEN's odd response off, "Ew! Not a chance. That's like thinking of... thinking of a naked Slender or something." Instantly, BEN shrieked and began making fake puking sounds. "I DID NOT WANT TO IMAGINE THAT! IT'S- OH NO, IT'S ALL WHITE, EVEN THE BA-" It was Keith this time to shut BEN up, but instead of speaking, he stopped moving and BEN's legs weren't completely spectral so they rammed into Keith's back and threw him forward and towards the ground. Keith glared down at BEN, disgusted and with murderous eyes.
