The most unbearable thought:
that I held something as splendid, something as fantastic, as you in my hands.
I never believed the universe could create anything more beautiful, more perfect, than the stars and moons shining in the sky;
Yet, there you were.
Long limbs sprawled across the white sheets,
outshining all the stars in the universe
as you simply just lay there,
freckles across your back forming yet undiscovered constellations.
I never believed our universe could create such a masterpiece; something so beautiful, yet so delicate;
That upon grasping you, you turned to stardust, scattering through my fingers;
Scattering through the vast space of the galaxy,
spreading with increasing speed,
flying further and further away from me.
