Harry

Finally stopping in front one of the many suites there is in the castle, I turn to look at King Rupert with a forced smile.

He hasn't stopped talking about Kimberly's arse, even after the many times I pointed out his inappropriate thoughts, and I was extremely close to strangling him. If he weren't a King and followed by two guards, I would have probably done it. Because, what the hell? Seriously?

"Sir." I nod, opening the doors. "This is your room. I hope you'll be enjoying your stay in Limia." Fuck, I sound like a bloody hotel host.

"Ah! Thank you very much Prince Harry." He grins, patting my shoulder before entering the large and luxurious suite, followed by his two guards. Right before he enters, I grip Zayn's shoulder, making him stop in his track and face me. I glare at him as he watches me with indifference, blinking slowly.

"I know who you are to Mady." I hiss, shoving a finger on his chest. "And I'll be giving you one warning: do not even think about coming in contact with her. You've caused enough trouble already." Our eyes stay locked, mine sending daggers at him while he stays completely expressionless. "Understood?" I spit, annoyed by his lack of reaction. Finally, he gives me a single nod and I pull away from him, eyes still glaring as he enters inside the suite, closing the door.

Huffing, I revert my steps, heading back to my father's office. I find him and mom on the same spots, chatting quietly until I enter the large room. Father nods at my presence, showing me a seat and I take place next to mom.

"I guess you might be a slight bit confused, son." He speaks and I refrain a scoff, shifting in my seat.

"Yes, why is the masquerade next week? I thought we had to wait until the talent show would be over."

"I had a long discussion with the producers and they gave me some advice to raise the ranking of the show. Adding a bit more pressure and celebration would be appropriate and we obviously had to make an after party for the talent show. And what is better than a masquerade for a party?" He explains and I raise an eyebrow, still finding all of this pretty much useless.

"I hope you realize that there's only a week left and not only do the girls have to practice for their performance, they'll have to worry about that ball too." I argue and he shrugs, wiping invisible dust off his suit.

"The future princess will have to face worse and more stressful situations than this, Harold. If Miss Madison Pearl isn't able to deal with this silly challenge, then maybe she's not build for the Golden life." I tense at the mention of Mady, his words lightening up sparks of frustration at his lack of belief in her.

"What does it have to do with Madison?" I say between gritted teeth, gripping the armrest tightly. He leans back in his chair, looking at me intently.

"She's part of the team who made that project, am I right? And I'm not blind, son, it's quite obvious that you are infatuated." My blood runs cold at his words, a sudden fear of disapproval growing in me. Frozen, I keep my glare on father, waiting for him to add something, anything.

"And it's clear to us that she also fancies you." Mom adds, softening my father's statement. I look at her, still pretty fucking clueless of how to act. Nonchalance or honesty? I don't especially have the best relation with my father, but his approval and opinion on the girl I'll chose is quite important, so does my mom's. But but by the mixed signals he's giving me, I'm not entirely sure where he positions himself.

Mady has never done something that could make my father dislike her? She spends most of her time either with me or her friends. And she doesn't create drama, the other girls create drama about her. So yeah, maybe he actually enjoys her presence and is trying to test me or something? I hate being confused about this small detail when I'm pretty much sure about my feelings for her.
