I was surprised-and quite relieved- how the days passed in a blur of bliss, laughter and kisses, not meeting Zayn once. The talent show is in a few days and the preparation for the masquerade is going perfectly, without any trouble. I thought it'd be a stressful roller coaster, but Harry was always there to comfort me in the best way possible. We haven't done anything since that time in the piano room and I was glad we stopped before going too far. Now that I can clearly dig in my feelings, I don't think it was the right time to do it and I want to be sure of the stability of Harry and I's 'relationship' before. I know we already had sex once, but we were drunk and regretful afterwards. I want the next time to be perfect and meaningful. If we do have a next time.

The only thing that bugs me is the fact that we haven't properly practiced our performance yet. Well, I know my part by heart now and can focus on the masquerade, but he still doesn't want to sing in front of me. I don't even know what the lyrics are, just the melody. And the mischievous look he gives me every time he watches me play in the piano room only tickles my curiosity even more. I probably asked Harry a billion times to sing, but he still doesn't and keeps repeating that it's a surprise.

Quite frustrating I might say, but not less exciting.

I wipe my mouth after taking the last bite of the delicious turkey the chef made, sipping on my water as I listen to Kim talk about some bad experience with fish or something. I can't seem to focus on her words, mind feeling like jelly because of Harry's large and warm hand gripping my thigh gently. It's been a routine for a few weeks now, every time I sit at the table-always next to him-he places his hand on my thigh by reflex. He's always so warm and cuddly, now becoming my personal heater when he sleeps over in my room. Which maybe occurs every night.

But I'm not complaining.

"Have you girls thought of your costume for the masquerade?" Simone asks and a few girls nod. I had discussed about it with Adeline and Laura, since they'll be the ones making it while Zoe will be taking care of my hair and makeup.

"The theme is famous characters, right? From movies if I remember correctly?" Harry asks and Grace and I both nod. "Are you still going to play that movie?"

"No," Camellia answers, sipping on her white wine. "We finally decided to keep it like a simple ball. There's still going to be a few kiosks to entertain the guests though."

"Have you sent the invitations?" Jasmine asks me and I nod.

"I sent the ones for our family only, but I asked King Arthur to choose his own list of guests. He told me he'll be sending them today, leaving enough days for everyone to prepare an outfit." I tell her and Harry turns to me.

"Will they arrive early like King Rupert?"

"Uhm, I'm not sure, I guess they'll decide themselves just like he did. What I know is that they'll be staying until the next Monday following the ball." I answer and he gives me a side way nod. We turn to look at the other girls, being met with their confused faces. I instinctively cover my face, worried about their expressions.

"Is there something on my face?"

"What's wrong?" Harry asks and Kim seems to be the only one able to answer.

"Who is. . .King Rupert?" She asks and my eyebrows raise in realization.

"Oh, it's the King of England." I answer with a smile, skin tingling as Harry draws circles with his thumb.

"He's in the castle?" Simone adds, as incredulous as the rest of them. Only Alexandra, who has a seat on the other side of Harry-which irritates me a lot-keeps a neutral expression.
