Once I climb inside my window, I see the shattered glass everywhere, I sweep it to the side and go into the bathroom, there is blood everywhere. I think to mop it up but then I leave it. There is no point, I will be out of here soon. I go towards my bed and then I see that the door is down. My heart skips a beat and a pit drops into my stomach. I'm scared that my mother will come into my room during the night to attack me. I check my necklace to make sure it is on still and recording, it is.
I go to my wardrobe and change into a pair of new clothes. I pack the rest into my suitcase. I grab al my belongings. My charger, toiletries, shoes and a gridiron football I bought so I can play with Jonny. I grab my phone and place it in my pocket. My suitcase is near the window, I didn't have much to pack so it is quite small. I grab my backpack and my work clothes are in there, there is also money and some bottles of water.
I walk outside my room and down the stairs, through the hallway into the kitchen; I search the cupboards for packaged foods that I can take with me. I turn around and go into my room, putting the food in my backpack. I quickly go around my room and search for anything else that I might need. Everything is packed so all I do is wait.
I walk down the stairs not caring about the amount of noise that I will make. I go into the lounge room and my mother isn't on the couch, but the bottle of alcohol that she would've been drinking when Jonny saw her is still there. I pick it up and place it on the table. When I go to turn around I hear deep breathes and the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. That's when I know, my mother is there. I turn around and face her, she looks real angry, there is a man standing beside her, he looks drunk.

"You little witch. You think you can just do what you want huh, you interrupted my fun time with Alex, now you're gonna pay," she says, I can tell she is sober because she is saying the sentence clearly.
"Yeah, you're gonna pay," Alex says, he however is drunk, is words just drop out of his mouth and hardly make sense. I turn to run and go as fast as I can to the other side of the house. I'm not fast enough though, because my mother catches up to me. She drags me by the ear and slams me against the wall. Alex comes and pushes me to the ground. My mother grabs a bottle of wine and breaks it against the wall, so the liquid goes everywhere. She scrapes the bottle against the legs then against my face. Alex grabs the bottle and hits me with it, he then chucks it behind me.
I'm still on the floor; my mother goes down to grab the necklace off of me.
"Well ain't that a pretty necklace," she says and goes to reach for it. I start to freak out and so I kick her in the stomach sending her down the floor, she lands on Alex and he screams in pain.
"Well it isn't yours!" I say, as I quickly get up and run up the stairs. I check behind me quickly and I see Alex coming towards me.
"Get her!" my mother screams out. Alex tries to run up the stairs. I go towards him and slap him the face, I then aim my foot at his oversized stomach and push him down the stairs. He tumbles and lands on my mother. She screams in pain this time.
I take the opportunity to run to my room and grab my things. I get my suitcase and chuck it out the window. I put my backpack on and climb down the tree. I pick the suitcase up and run down the street away from my house. I stop to catch my breath and I pull out my phone.

TO: J BOY:

It worked the plan worked, I'm on St Pauls avenue, come get me quick before they find me please

J BOY:

Be there soon, stay where u are

I look down the street and hear my mother screaming.
"Go get her! Go get that little witch!"
I walk more down the street and then I see a car speeding up the street. It stops next to me and out jumps Jonny.  He grabs my suitcase and puts it in the boot. I jump in the car and he gets in. His Uncle Scott drives off, to the police station. I look down at my body and see my left leg is bleeding. I grab my phone and turn it on, going to the camera app. I look at my face and see there is blood on my right cheek opposite the scar that my mother created when I was 7. I turn my phone off and take deep breaths.
They aren't going to get me.
My mother isn't going to get me.
She can't find me.
I'm free.
She is going to go to jail.
The law will serve her justice.
For the first time in forever, I am safe.
Jonny turns his head and looks at me.
"You are the bravest person I have ever known," he says. Tears fall down my cheeks and I smile at him.
"Thank you for helping me escape," I say.
"It isn't over yet, once she is in jail, then it is over," his Uncle Scott says.
"There was another man there to," I say.
"Did you get a name," Uncle Scott says.
"Yes, it is Alex," I say.  We make our way to the police station and walk inside, Jonny takes the necklace off me and I hand it to the police officer who was helping us. He looks down at my leg and runs to the storeroom to get out some bandages.
