At 37, our sweet little terror turned five. We threw him a party, and you invited the football team because heaven knows they love our little boy almost as much as we did. Isaiah couldn't even eat his cake because he was so excited to run around outside with the guys. It was cute to see these big, tough guys sitting on the floor letting Isaiah crawl all over them. Or even how they would play with our little girl, letting her play with their hair and letting her sit on their shoulders.
I couldn't help thinking about how far we had all come as a family. I also cried at the thought that my baby boy was growing up so fast. You held me, though, and you said that even when Isaiah was forty, he would always be our baby boy.
