When the movie ended, Shenzi wished her mother goodnight and made her way to her bedroom. Inside, lights decorated the room with a queen-size bed in the middle covered in different blankets and pillows. The floor was polished wood, with small patches of carpet here and there. There was a door that leads to a grand bathroom and two doors, which lead to a balcony that scanned over the ocean and beyond in the distance. Two chairs sat outside as well. There was a dresser that sat right in front of Shenzi's bed, the top filled with clothes, the middle with art and paintings, while the third had stacks of books and notebooks. Pretty simple. Girl stuff that a girl would want. On the top of the dresser, laid items that had mysteriously showed up over the years. Some examples include a conch shell, painting utensils, a necklace tied with different rounds, an empty frame that was soon put to good use, a flashing camera, and more. With a drawn-out sigh, Shenzi began removing her items. She set her hood aside and away, folding it up neatly. Once the drawer had shut, she had begun unwrapping the tape around her paws and was left with the sight of her scars. Scratches and marks ran up along her fingers and the middle of her palm and back of her hand. Her feet had gashes that had healed but were easy to spot. Pain and misery had come with these, but they had been worth it in the end. The snow leopard looked herself up and down, her tail raising to curl above the floor as she peered at her legs, arms, body, hands, feet, and claws. All of these were a part of her. Yet, why couldn't she look at her blemishes? She needed a breath of fresh air before she was tucked in. Shenzi smiled, tucking a strand of hair behind one ear as she silently padded across her room to the deck. Letting the doors open as she walked along the patio. She stopped short and then leaned her body against the railings, her grey eyes reflecting and staring up at the beauty of the galaxies and stars. The ocean reflected such principles. Her ears shifted back, snug and comfortably content on her fluffy head as she then let her arms cross over one another on the rails, and she made her chin rest against them. Letting her knees bend, she wondered and dreamed what it would be like to float amongst the stars. Her Chi was so close to doing so- she could feel it! All she needed was the right kind of push.
"I could paint you tonight," she whispered to the sky. "I could paint you all night until the sun rises. Until I'm no longer keeping my eyes open."
Shenzi paused, and added, with a hint of wiseness in her features, fingers rolling along her arm silently.
"The great kings watch over us. Maybe one day, I'll do the same."
Shenzi stopped, and then found herself chuckling, and burying her nose in her arms. Her cheeks were tinted a light pink from sheepishness.
"What am I doing?" She asked herself, embarrassed as the leopard noticed she was chatting with herself. As happy as Shenzi was living in Soleanna, somewhere deep down she wished for a change of pace, but she knew she'd never get the chance unless she asked. Shenzi debated with herself, wondering if even going to China was a remotely just decision. She'd be leaving the people, HER people, who needed her the most. The Royal Guard had multiple men and women who were all excellent, sure, but the citizens of the city called for her the most. The snow leopard asked herself if leaving was the right decision, but the opportunity had come for her to prove herself, and if she didn't take the chance, she'd never do it. A growl rose in the back of her throat in frustration, but she knew that getting angry at herself wouldn't help. Sighing, she pushed herself away from the ledge, ready to tuck in for the night and get some proper sleep so she could get to work first thing in the morning. Although she doubted it. Considering Sundays were her days off.

Sonic held his head low as he headed home, a dejected look on his face. He never really thought about his loneliness until now. As it turns out, it really stings. As Sonic was nearing the trees that marked the beginning of the forest, he noticed a empty baseball field just a few miles from the tree line.
"Woah..." Sonic said, walking into the field. He knew what baseball was; he had watched countless games before and got a pretty good inkling on how baseball worked. Though, he had never actually set foot in a field before. This is was all too new for the hedgehog.
"This is so cool!" Sonic exclaimed. He found a bucket filled with gear and other items, taking out a baseball bat and a helmet from it. In a flash, a nifty idea immediately came into his mind....

"Bottom of the tied ninth score, is exactly the guy you've seen playing on the line! Give it up for Sonic!"
"But staring him down from the pitcher's mound is the nastiest southpaw in Soleanna, also Sonic!"
"Okay, focus Sonic. If you hit a home run, you'll be the most popular kid in Soleanna!"
'Right field' Sonic dawdled on the field, leisurely smelling a flower.
"Ugh, I just can't with that guy...." Bemoaned 'Pitcher' Sonic.
"Hey, batter Sonic. Hey, batter Sonic. Swing, batter Sonic!" Went 'Umpire' Sonic.
'Pitcher' Sonic winded up his arm before throwing the baseball bat at "Batter" Sonic. With a well-aimed swing, 'Batter' Sonic hit the ball and began running towards home base while 'Pitcher' Sonic tried to tag him out.
"Go, go, go!" Yelled 'Left-field' Sonic. 'Batter' Sonic raced to home plate, leaping right on top of it.
"SAFE!" Went 'Umpire' Sonic.
"YEAH! I DID IT! Did you see that?! I did it, guys! I..." Sonic exclaimed happily before the realization dawned on him. Sonic looked around, realizing there was nobody but him standing in the field. Sonic's face fell as he looked around with deep sadness.
"I'm alone. I'm.... all alone...." Sonic said, dropping the helmet and bat on the floor before he began running around the field at blazing speed. As he did so, his body began to glow with an intense blue light. Sonic began running faster and faster, unaware of the changes his body is going through.
Faster. Faster. Faster.
Sonic just kept speeding up while the power his body was generating more and more emergy with every second. Without warning, Sonic inadvertedly released a massive electromagnetic shockwave that spilled into Soleanna and immediately cut the power in the whole town, even the castle, and stirring everyone.
"Oh no...." Sonic murmured with a regretful tone.
"I hope nobody saw that giant blue explosion." Sonic said before bolting off into the forest.
