Shenzi was lucky that Sonic was so light. She had to lift up the hedgehog and carry him down the hallway back where the garage was bridal style. Beside the door that led into the garage was a string that hung from a cut out square piece of ceiling. Shenzi carefully set the hedgehog down before she reached and grabbed the rope. Pulling it down as it revealed a pretty spacious attic with a couple of items inside that were dusty.
"Okay, you should be safe up here." She said, waving for him to climb up the stairs.
"Whatever you do, don't make a peep." She said firmly.
"Got it. Not a word." Sonic said. Shenzi nodded her head and gave a reassuring smile as she gently nudged Sonic into the attic, and then closed the stairs and door behind him. Once he was gone from view, the sound of knocking made her ears perk up, and she turned her attention down the long hallways to the door at the end that had someone standing at the other side of it.
"Agent Stone, wait in the car. This won't take long." Robotnik said as he casually scanned the floor with built-in scanners in the palms of his gloves. It was clear that he had managed to track Sonic's footprints all the way here.
"Yes, doctor." Agent Stone replied. Shenzi grabbed her Katakana near the door of the garage and rushed to her room with her claws digging and scratching at the floor to propel her forward. Elise wouldn't like it, but, whatever. She'd buff it out later, and all would be forgiven. Shenzi threw on her belt around her waist, tossing her relaxed clothes off in replacement for a hood which she wrapped around her shoulders, grabbed her boxer tape and hurriedly applied them to her paws and feet, and then grabbed her handbag which she hooked around her back to then shove her weapon in. When all was said and done, the snow leopard brushed herself off and then exited her room - closing the door with her tail - before jogging up to the door the front of her home.
"Coming!" She called before she glided on the floor to a stop. Something in the girl's whole body gave a sudden shiver, almost as if her mind had suddenly screamed at her for not opening the door. This was simply a gut feeling- but it was so strong and powerful that it was almost hard to ignore. Still, most of them didn't happen anyway. Mostly. Shenzi smoothed her fur to make herself presentable, as she then turned the doorknob and swung the door open. Her stormy eyes gazed at her surroundings to see who had knocked at the castle wall, and she finally locked into a strange man wearing all black kneeling at the side of the walkway. He appeared to be doing something, whatever it was was unknown to her. The spotted cat leaned against the doorway, her tail twitching to curl over her feet as she stared at this man curiously. Her hair fell over her obs, and she blew it over her face. The snow leopard took out her staff, and held it in her hand, setting it on the ground like a king about to give a speech.
"Hello, sir!" She waved to him in greeting. "Can I help you with anything?"
Robotnik looked rather intently at the leopard, giving her one of those intrigued looks. While he wasn't completely weirded out by the leopard, he did find the sight rather odd nonetheless.
"Good morning, ma'am. It is apparent you must be getting ready to attend a Furry convention, so I'll make this quick." Robotnik said.
"There was a bit of a.... power surge that went off near this area. Have you seen anything strange? Out of the ordinary?"
Shenzi expected weird looks, honestly. She was pretty used to it whenever someone from out of town showed up. However, something about this mustached-man didn't sit right with her. For whatever reason, he gave her the creeps. And then this guy had the gall to assume she was a "furry". She was downright offended that this man thought she was just some person in an animal costume. Her accent thickened as her tail rose to curl above the ground behind her, eyes radiating gold for a split second and then gone, as she asked with a disbelieving smile, "I beg your pardon?"
