"Alright be good for Mildrid okay?" You say to Collin as you hug him.
"I will," he whined.
"I know, love you bud," you say as you stand up.
"Love you too," he says as you walk off. You walked to the house Shelia had given to you and knocked when you got there. A middle aged women who you assumed to be Shelia opened the door.
"You must be Y/n!" She says.
"Yes ma'am," you nod.
"Please come in," she says stepping off to the side. You take a step inside. The house is a nice light blue.
"Gerald! The babysitter is here!" Shelia yells. A middle aged man comes down the stairs followed by a boy whose younger.
"Hi I'm Gerald, Ike's dad," Gerald says extending a hand.
"Y/n," you smile taking his hand and shaking it.
"Firm grip I like it," Gerald says letting go.
"So this must be Ike," you say looking at the young boy behind him.
"Minecraft or Fortnite?" Ike asks.
"Um... Minecraft," you said hesitantly.
"He can be my babysitter," Ike says looking at his dad. Gerald lets out a small sigh of relief.
"We'll be home around 11 o'clock you have my number if anything happens," Shelia says as her and Gerald walk out the door.
"So Ike, what would you like to do?" You ask.
"Minecraft!" He yells then runs upstairs. You followed behind. Ike's room had a light blue color to it with multiple posters.
"What do you usually play on?" Ike asks.
"I used to play on computer," you say. She
"Oh well I have it for the console. I hope that's okay," he says.
"It's fine," you say. He set it up and handed you a controller.
"Man I wish Kyle would play video games with me," Ike says. You stiffened a little.
"K-Kyle?" You question.
"Yeah he's my older brother, I think he might be the same age as you," Ike says.
"Yeah, I don't know," you said slightly nervous.
You spent the next hour playing Minecraft with Ike.
"Hey can we get something to eat?" Ike asks.
"Yeah of course," you say. You both headed down stairs and to the kitchen.
"What can you cook?" Ike asks.
"Anything really as long as I have a recipe if the dish is more complex," you say.
"Lets just go with grilled cheese," Ike says. You nod as he gets the stuff out. Together you make two grilled cheese for him and one for yourself.
"Ike! I'm home!"
Ike jumps up at the familiar voice while it makes you shrink.
"Kyle!" Ike yells as he runs into the living room," you need to come meet Y/n!"
You felt yourself stiffen.
"Y/n?" Kyle asks bitterly.
"Yeah, this is my new babysitter!" Ike says. Now in the kitchen with Kyle. You looked at them back and forth. Kyle looked at you narrowed eyed.
"Um, hi I'm Y/n," you say nervously.
"Kyle," Kyle grumbles.
"And I'm Ike!" Ike yells. 'Adorable' you think to yourself.
"Thank you for watching after my brother, but you can leave now," Kyle says.
"I supposed you have my pay?" You ask. He clenches his fist then shakes his head no.
"Then I can't leave yet, your parents said they'd be home around 11," you say.
"Yeah!" Ike exclaims and hugs your waist. You jump but set a hand on Ike's back.
"Your the best babysitter I've ever had!" Ike yells. Kyle kept eyeing you down.
"Fine, I'll be in my room if you need me," Kyle says the walks out of the kitchen.
"Can we go back to playing Minecraft now?" Ike asks. You nod slowly.
*Kyle's Pov*
When I got to my room I instantly pulled out my phone and texted Stan.
Me: Y/n is babysitting Ike!
Stan: Okay?
Me: That's not okay! Soon he'll be over here all the time and my own family will replace me!
Stan: You're over reacting.
Me: I am not Stan! Ever since elementary school! And Ike loves him too!
Stan: How about you try to actually get to know the guy? Maybe he isn't as bad as you think.
Me: Fuck that!
Stan: Whatever dude I don't know how to help you.
I sigh and turn off my phone I laid on my bed not knowing what to do.
*Normal Pov*
The rest of the night was fun when you didn't think about the fact that Kyle was lingering in the next room.
"So how was it?" Mili asks as you enter her home.
"Good, besides the fact that his older brother is the kid that hates me," you say.
"Oh shit, I'm sorry," Mili says.
"Nah its fine the boy's really sweet and adorable so that's a plus," you say.
"Well that's good," Mili says.
"Yeah, how was Collin?" You ask.
"He was fine," she replies," out like a light."
"Alright good," you smile.
"Speaking of sleep, get some yourself," she says.
"Yeah alright," you say and walk to the spare bedroom. You plop onto the bed and soon drift off to sleep.
