I Hated You Now I love You

Chapter 13

It was a few weeks later on Friday night and you were at Kyle’s house. You were playing Mario Kart together. The ending music played as you got first place and Kyle finishes in second place. 
“Ahhh!” He fake yells and hugs you from behind. You laugh and sink into him. 
“Hey honey?” You ask. 
“Hm?” He looks down at you. 
“Will you go on a date with me? You know to the movies or something?” You ask.
“Aw of course,” he smiles and hugs you tighter. You smiled as he kissed your forehead. You put together the details and decided you would go and see the new Sonic movie(remastered not the creepy one) on Sunday then after you would go out to eat. 
When Sunday finally came you texted Butters so he could help you with an outfit and watch Collin since Mili was busy. (You and him have gotten closer over the last few weeks). He came around ten.
“Okay so you want something simple and casual,” Butters says as you both walk into your room. 
“Hm, alright,” you say you walked over to your dresser. You pulled out a (stripped/plain) long sleeve, jeans, and a jacket. You look at Butters for approval.
“Yeah I like it. I think that would be good,” he says.
“Alright then I’m going to go take a shower,” you say and head to the bathroom. You took a shower and got dressed. When you walked back into your room Butters was waiting. 
“How do I look?” You ask. Butters looks up from his phone then at you up and down.
“You look great,” he smiles. You checked the time and saw that you needed to go.
“I should head out,” you say and walk back out of your room Butters follows close behind. You go downstairs and slip on your shoes. 
“You leaving now?” Collin asks as he pops his head out.
“Yeah come give me a hug,” you say. He smiles and hugs you happily. “Alright you be good for Butters. I love you.” 
“Love you too and I’ll be fine,” he smiles as you pull away. You stand up and make sure you have everything.
“Call me if you need anything Butters,” you say.
“I will,” he smiles as you head out. 
You got to Kyle’s house around 11:30. You knock on his door. Ike answers with a smile.
“Hey Y/n!” He smiles as he lets you step in.
“Is Kyle ready?” You ask. 
“Hold on,” Ike smiles then runs upstairs. He returns with Kyle who look down right hot. You hide your blush and smile.
“Ready?” You ask.
“Yeah,” he says, then calls back,” I’m heading out mom!”
“Wait I want pictures!” She yells. Mrs. Broflovski then runs into the living room with her phone up. 
“Hello Mrs Broflovski,” you smile. 
“Hi Y/n!” She says back,” okay I want one of the two of you holding hands.” 
You smile as you grab Kyle’s hand and look at her. She snaps a quick photo.
“We got to get going mom,” Kyle says.
“Oh yes, you two have fun boys!” Mrs Broflovski says as you walk out. 
You walked to the movie theater and made it just in time. You paid for everything even though Kyle tried to pay for a few things. You both took a seat in the middle row. For most of the movie Kyle leaned up against you. 
At the end of the movie you both walked out satisfied with the movie. 
“Alright we’re would you like to eat?” You ask. 
“I don’t care as long as it’s not too fast food,” he says. 
“Yeah alright,” you nod. You brought Kyle to an old South Park Diner, one you and your father use to go to when you were younger. 
“I never knew this existed,” Kyle says.
“Oh yeah not a lot of people in South Park do, I only know about it because of my dad,” you say. 
“What will it be young sirs?” A nice old lady asks. 
“Table for two,” you smile.
“Yes please follow me,” she says. You follow her to a small booth. You and Kyle sit on either side,” a waitress will be over to get your drinks.”
“Thank you ma’am,” you smile as she walks away. You and Kyle look at your menus. It had been ages since you were here. Actually it was right before your dad died. 
“Excuse me young sir?”
You jumped and looked at the old lady who had come back.
“You wouldn’t happen to be Y/n L/n?” She asks.
“Y-Yes, that is me,” you nod.
“Ah, I knew it, you look just like your father, the eyes might be old but they still work, you may not remember me but I’m Grandma Susie,” she says. 
“Thank you and I’m sorry but I don’t remember you,” you smile.
“It’s alright, how is he doing I haven’t seen either of you in years,” she says. 
“Oh, uh he’s no longer with us,” you sigh.
“I am so sorry,” Granny Susie frowns. 
“No it’s okay Granny Susie,” you smile lightly,” he’s alway in our memories and that’s what counts.” 
“Such a wise young man, now who is this across from you?” Granny asks probably just wanting to change the subject.
“This is my boyfriend, Kyle,” you say.
“Hello ma’am,” Kyle says.
“Ah you can refer to me as Granny Susie,” she smiles,” it’s nice to meet you Kyle.” 
“Nice to meet you too Granny Susie,” Kyle smiles.
“Well I’ll get out of your guys hair,” Granny says. You both nodded slightly as she walked off. 
You made small talk for the rest of the time you were there. 
“Bye Granny Susie,” you smile.
“Bye you two, be safe walking home!” Granny Susie says as you walk out.
“There’s one more thing I want to show you, but it’s a bit of a walk,” you say.
“Alright,” he smiles. You grabbed his hand and started to lead him to Starks pond.
“Starks Pond?” Kyle asks.
“Yes and no, we got a little bit more to go,” you say. From there you brought him to a cliff. It had an amazing view that showed over the town and the pond. 
“Wow, this is beautiful,” Kyle says. 
“Yeah my dad showed me this spot. We would lay up here for hours and look at the clouds and talk,” you smile and lay down in the grass. Kyle lays down next to to you. “Sometimes we would fall asleep and wake up to my mom calling us.”
“What was your dad like? If you want to talk about it,” Kyle asks.
“He was amazing! He always knew how to make you smile. He taught me how to be accepting of everyone. He always said that you never really know what’s going on in someone’s life so give someone a smile when you can. I loved him to death, mom and I both did. He died October 15th... we never really figured out how...a close friend of his just found him in the woods one day. When they performed the Atopsy they couldn’t even figure it out. Mom and I were both devastated. For the longest time I couldn’t grasp the concept that he was gone, so I always asked my mom when is dad coming home? Then I realized he wasn’t,” you say and look at Kyle,” sorry that’s really depressing.”
“No it’s okay, I think it’s good your talking about it, sometimes you got to,” Kyle smiles and grabs your hand.
“I actually saw him a few weeks ago when I was in the hospital. I guess that really tell you how close I was to dying. He told me that I it wasn’t my time, that he wouldn’t let me die by the hands of my mom... he also wanted me to gain my own identity. I wasn’t sure what he meant at the time but now I understand. I was always worried about Collin... I never cared about myself. I was always so worried about him and I never took care of myself. I’m getting better at it though,” you say.
“Good, I need you,” Kyle says.
“And I need you,” you smile and squeeze his hand. 
You sat up there for next few hours talking and telling stories. Then it started raining. 
“Oh shit,” Kyle says and you both sit up. He wasn’t dressed for rain. You quickly took off your jacket and gave it to him.
“What about you?” He asks.
“I at least have a long sleeve, and Mother Nature hasn’t taken me down in a long time,” you say. He bit his bottom lip then nodded. 
-The Next Day-
You felt like shit. 
“You got a temp, you’re staying home from school,” Mili says as she finished taking your temp.
“Wait bu-,” you started coughing.
“I don’t want to see you out of bed, get some rest,” she says and walks out. You groaned and turned on your side. You grabbed your phone and texted Kyle.
You: Mother Nature said fuck you. I feel like shit, I’m sorry but I won’t be going to school today. 
Ky: Oh no my Romeo got struck down! How will I ever recover? 
You: Get sick too. 
Ky: I’m not going to do that honey 😆
You: Why not?🙁
Ky: goof ball you know why. 😘
You: Yeah, we’ll have fun at school love you. 
Ky: I love you too. 
You put your phone down and curled up under your blankets and fell back asleep.
You woke up again to someone talking. 
“Yeah he’s been asleep all day,” you hear Mili says. Your door opens. You turn on your side to see Kyle.
“Hey,” you say. Your head still felt cloudy. 
“How you feeling?” Kyle asks as he pulls up your desk chair. 
“Like shit,” you say and sit up. 
“Well Romeo next time don’t give me your sweater,” Kyle says. 
“You we’re wearing a short sleeve did you even check the weather?” You ask.
“No, did you?” Kyle retails.
“No,” you laugh.
Kyle stayed the rest of the night helping take care of you until he had to go home.
