christmas eve, two weeks after hopper got rescued

el and will heard a knock at the door. "they're here!" they screamed as they ran to the door, pushing each other out of the way. they opened the door to see the wheeler family, the sinclair family and max, the henderson family, and steve and robin. they all had flew down from hawkins to georgia to spend christmas with the byers family.

"mike!" el yelled as soon as she saw him. "lucas, dustin!" shouted will hugging them. "max!" el said as she sprinted towards her best friend. joyce and jonathan walked in from the other room. "nancy!" jonathon shouted. "jonathon!" shouted nancy as she ran to him. "hi joyce!" said karen with holly in her arms. "karen oh my goodness hi!" joyce said, giving her a hug. "it's been so long!" "i know!" joyce gave all the other moms a bunch of hugs. "wow, it's so nice to have you all here for the holidays! you guys seriously don't know what it means to us. we all miss you so much." said joyce smiling. "anytime." said mrs. sinclair. "please, come on in!" said el, gesturing everyone inside. 

"wow, your house is so nice, i love it!" nancy exclaimed. "thank you nancy, so nice to see you again." said joyce as she gave her a hug. "we may have gotten you a little something..." said karen, holding out a bag for joyce. it was a ton of flowers, make up, and clothes. "aww, you really didn't have to do this thank you so much!" joyce exclaimed with enthusiasm. "we've missed you guys sooooooooooo much. boy, do we have some things to tell you." said max. "oh, i think we have a lot more things to tell you guys." will said as he bumped el. el laughed. "what are you guys taking about?" asked dustin. el looked at joyce. joyce nodded. el cleared her throat and began to speak.

 "well, i guess i better get to the point. um, everyone, if i could please have your attention for a moment..." el said hesitantly, quieting everyone down. "um...i would...i would just like to reintroduce...my dad. my dad jim hopper. hopper walked into the room. everyone looked absolutely stunned. "uh...what?" steve asked. "hopper?!" shouted dustin. el explained everything that happened. "and you had visions that he was alive?!" max asked. el nodded. everyone sprinted up to hug hopper and asked him so many questions, they were all so happy to see him again. will stood on a chair to get everyone's attention. "also, i think it is very important to announce that my mom and hopper are officially dating!"

oh yeah, and that.

everyone started screaming and giving joyce, hopper, jonathon, el and will hugs. karen was the most excited out of everyone. she was jumping all around and screaming and laughing and smiling. it looked like she was at disney world! "so...so this means you guys are going to be siblings now?!" asked dustin. "i mean, eventually probably!" will said. everyone was so happy to hear all the exciting news.

everyone hung out around the house for a few hours and caught up. everyone talked about high school, and new changes; max finally got the dog she'd been begging for, dustin moved into a new house, lucas won first place for a science fair, mike started playing on the football team, erica started middle school, nancy got into her top college, and robin and steve started working at family video.

"alright time for dinner guys!" joyce said to all the kids. everyone sat in the dining room, a few people per table. dustin and lucas started stuffing their food into their mouths. "dear god, thank you for having us all together for this very special night," said joyce. dustin and lucas stopped eating and slowly shrunk down in their chairs. max gave them a glare. "sorry." mouthed lucas. "we thank you for everything you have done, and thank you for helping us get through all the tough times together. we are so very fortune. amen." "amen." everyone said.

"so, what's it like living here?" dustin asked will and el with a ton of food in his mouth. "i mean... it's nice i guess. the warm weather is really nice; it kind of feels like summer every day. it just doesn't feel like home yet though. we just miss all of you guys a lot." will replied. "do you guys have a lot of friends here?" asked max. " i have a friend name leia, and will has a friend named andrew, but that's it." el answered. "so you guys didn't join a new party?" asked mike. "how could we?!" said will. they all smiled.

after dinner, everyone decided on places to sleep for the night. max, erica, robin, and el slept in el's room, mike, dustin, steve, will, and lucas slept in will's room, jonathon and nancy slept in jonathon's room, joyce and hopper slept in their room, and the other parents were sleeping at a hotel.

the next day

all of the kids woke up bright and early and raced downstairs in their pajamas. "its christmas!" el shouted. there was a ton of presents under the tree, and all of the kids ran to the tree, including steve, who was jumping up and down and shouting with joy. everyone unwrapped all of their gifts until the whole carpet of the living room was covered in tissue paper and wrapping paper. el looked around everyone in the room. she never, ever thought that this would be her life. her friends, her boyfriend, her brothers, her mom, her dad. she had never experienced christmas like this before. all she ever got for christmas from papa was a small box of new crayons, if she was lucky. she never got to experience all the many things that everyone else in this room did. she never had a birthday party, she never rode a roller coaster, she never went on vacation. it's sort of made her feel sad inside. 

"what's wrong?" hopper asked, noticing something was troubling her. "nothing. i just, never thought i would have a christmas like this." hopper gave her a giant bear hug. "i love ya kid." "i love you too, dad."

a/n: so i guess i'll be writing a lot more because it's corona and i'm off school lol
