Thomas POV
"What do you mean I'll never be able to leave?!" I exclaimed. That horrible feeling of panic gripping my chest returned. Why does this feeling keep coming back?!"You're stuck here forever," Deceit purred. "You're never going to go home or see your family. Your friends...your girlfriend..."
"Girlfriend?" I did a double take. "Nope. I'm alone forever."
"Oh that's a whole mood," Virgil laughed.
"What...what's a mood?" I asked. Virgil just laughed again.
"Okay, Deceit, stop," Patton said. "You're just scaring Thomas more."
"I'm telling the truth," Deceit said slowly with a smirk.
"Dee," Quinn said sternly.
"Fine," He sighed. "You can go home, but I can't help you."
"How am I supposed to get home than?" I asked worriedly.
"Don't know, don't care," Deceit shrugged. "Have fun finding your way home!"
He waved his hand and turned to walk away back into the forest. The snakes on his head started hissing 'Quinn' and 'Q' in little high pitches voices.
"Traitors," Deceit hissed. "All of you."
"I'm just gonna go with him," Quinn mumbled before flying off after Deceit.
"Wait!" Virgil yelled. They both stopped. "Any clue who might know how to get Thomas home!"
"You're the one supposed to know this!" Deceit yelled back. "You'd have to go to the Storykeeper or Wylan!"
"You're coming with us!" Patton yelled.
"No I'm not!" Deceit screamed, slowly getting farther away. Quinn was floating just behind Deceit's shoulder.
"We'll go to Evan next!" Patton yelled. The two converses for a few seconds.
"Fine!" Deceit said. "But only Evan! I know you'll probably end up visiting Emile and Remy too and I'm not interested in those two. Both are two emotional."
Deceit walked back over to us, Quinn had disappeared again. It's creepy that he can just disappear like that.
"You're coming with us everywhere," Patton smiles, slipping his arm around one of Deceit's six arms.
"Fine but no touch," He hissed, baring his fangs.
"Calm down for one second," Virgil seethed. He didn't seem to be Deceit's biggest fan.
"Oh shush Virgie," Deceit laughed. That earned laughed from Patton and Quinn.
"Don't fucking call me that," Virgil said loudly and angrily. "Let's go."
Virgil shifted back into his fox form and went trotting off in the opposite direction. Patton slipped his arm around mine and we followed behind. Deceit and Quinn trailing us.
Patton seems like the most normal person here. A fatherly and kind person. I just feel better around him than I do the other three.
"So..." I mumbled into the awkward silence. "Who's Evan?"
"The siren," Patton whispered.
"Okay, if we're whispering to each other," I mumbled. "Why does Virgil seem to hate Deceit."
"Oh...that's a long story...it happened almost four hundred years ago now," Patton sighed. "I'll try to simplify for your human brain. Basically, Virgil fell in love with Quinn. They were best friends for the longest time. Quinn then reveals a crush on Deceit and the two get together...kinda...their relationship is hard to explain."
