Silence. There was a deafening silence. Both of them were observing each other. "Why did you say that?" Andrya said and punched him in the arm, chuckling.
"Said what?" Namjoon asked. "That I do like you?" He said straightforward, making the lady flustered. Her cheeks beaming pinkish glow.
"Yah! Stop joking around. It isn't funny, Gol," she told him in annoyance.
"I am sorry for the sudden confession, but I just gained my courage to tell you now," Namjoon sighed. "Look, David," he was staring at her eyes. "I am not forcing you to like me back, but I just wanted to tell you how I really feel David," he told her. Andrya was frozen there. She just couldn't seem to process what the guy was telling him.
"I promise I won't get mad if I get rejected by you. I just don't want an awkward treatment between us if I ever told you about it. I will be happy if we still remain, friends, even if I confessed," he continued again, making Andrya more flustered. He was unsure of what her reaction would be.
Andrya pressed her index finger to the guy's lips. "Sssshhhh! Stop. Nothing will change even if you confess your feelings to me now," she told him casually.
He was glad of her answer but somehow sad because he felt like David didn't feel the same way to him.
They looked at each other eyes, and Andrya said, "But please give me time to process mine," and smiled at him.
"Thank you, David," Namjoon told the girl and approached her to a tight hug. Andrya's heart was unexpectedly smashing weirdly. Namjoon had the same feeling.
Their hearts were beating as one. Andrya realized it when she was pulled to his chest. Her ears were positioned where he could hear everything.
After breaking the hug, they immediately followed the rest of the guys in the Observatory, walking casually together while going inside. Andrya tried to stay casual as possible to hide her embarrassment with the guy's confession. She never experienced someone confessing to her like that, and she just didn't know how to react.
She ran and left the guy. "Gol faster! You are so slow," she screamed at him. Namjoon chuckled at Andrya's goofiness and rushed to her.
"You bet! You'll get another hug if I catch you!" Namjoon screamed at the lady, making the lady flutter even more. She ran in haste, nervous by the threat the guy just gave. His hugs make her heart skip beats.
Namjoon chased Andrya until they were inside the Observatory. The Observatory was closed for them, the power Andrya's cousins have.
"Daaaavvviiiddd!" Screamed by Namjoon, who's getting closer and closer to Andrya. While she felt him really close already to her, she has no choice but to run quicker.
Damn it! She cursed and began panting. Catching her breath. She didn't notice her pace went slower because of the cold and tiredness. Namjoon was already near and grabbed her from behind.
"There you are, silly," Namjoon yanked her arm and making her swirl towards his direction and bumping harshly to his chest. He wrapped his arms around the lady's body when he felt her shiver from the cold breeze.
Thankfully, It didn't hurt her, but instead, she felt her cheeks burn even more. Namjoon's warmth comforted her from trembling. They were standing underneath the moonlight coming from the glass roof of the Observatory.
They stayed like that for a couple of minutes.
"Found them," Jeya was supposed to yell out. But she mumbled the last word under her breath when she saw Namjoon hugging her boss tightly and as if they were highlighted by the moonlight in the middle of the Observatory.
