Chapter 33: The Lift

Andrya reached the conference room on time and the meeting immediately proceeded a few minutes after her arrival and the big boss. "Attorney Andrya, long time no see," she was immediately greeted by one of the board members. "It's good to see you back to represent your dad again and congratulations on your great work," Mr. Lee added. She was just puzzled as to why she was suddenly praised by this man whom she knows doesn't favor her dad.

Her being thoughtful, she bowed at the director. This is to also show some respect even when she knows that some of the people inside the room were against her being the youngest member of the board. Practically, it wasn't her but they just know that it will be her who will get all her dad's shares in the future. "Thank you, sir! I hope you also had a good vacation from work for the last months."

"I did, hija. Thank you," the director answered.

Then PDnim entered the room so everyone settled down. They began presenting the reports. Discussions were all about the company's financial performance, past performance and current operations, and future strategies. The present status of the Label was stated to be good news because the current strategies were working substantially. It's continuously increasing the sales and popularity of the artists and the company attracting more foreign and local investors.

"Today, I also wanted to relay to you that we have officially acquired Source Music," PDnim gave up news to the board making them clap their hands.

"But that wouldn't happen without all of us working hard and of course because of this person who has put a lot of effort into advising me legally and financially though she wasn't working with me yet before. Doing also all the paper works on my behalf. My daughter, Atty. Alexandrya Jinnie Young," PDnim stated.

Andrya was shocked by the unforeseen recognition. They all looked at her and gave her a round of applause. She bowed her head to give respect to them. Knowing also that she's the youngest among the people inside the room.

Few more discussions and plan layouts for the future have taken into place. It took them more than 2 hours to finished everything.

"That would be all. The meeting is adjourned," PDnim ending it. They proceeded to one of the function halls of the company to where they had a mini celebration for the success of the company.

You will hear congratulations, handshakes, hugs, and other greetings to Andrya as they went out of the room.

She's been a good asset to the company. The fact that she's versatile, diligent, and steadfast makes her a really big asset. Though that wasn't the purpose of PDnim hiring her because he wanted to restore Andrya's love for music. He just wanted her passion for the industry to grow again like the old Alexandrya Jinnie.

"Congratulations my dear and welcome back. I just knew you'll grow up beautiful like your mom," Mrs. Kang said, the wife of one of the directors as she hugged the lady.

"Thank you Mrs. Kang and you're young-looking as ever," Andrya greeted back.

"Wait here, hija. I have something for you," the mistress said and went to her table to get something. Andrya stands up there and waits for Mrs. Kang.

"This is for you my dearest Andrya," she said handing her a luxurious big box.

"Oh my gosh Mrs. Kang, you don't have to do this," Andrya said in shocking still in doubt about taking the box.

"No, hija. It's actually a small thing. You deserve better. That's for not seeing you in years and a welcome gift for you and not to mention, for your short time stay here, you've been contributing a lot to the company," Mrs. Kang said complementing the shy lady.
