Chapter Thirty Two: Esmeralda

Keonhee POV

Esmeralda walks down the stairs and raises her hands. She makes a pushing motion and the whole group gets thrown backwards against the door. Keonhee growns. His back hurts from the impact. Then they get thrown to the side against the wall. "Look at you. You are nothing against me. I will crush you." With another hand motion Esmeralda throws them to the other side of the room. While they fly through the air, Keonhee sees Ravn stretch out his hand in the direction of the wall they are about to crash into. Keonhee closes his eyes, waiting to hit the wall really hard but instead he feels himself bounce off a wind wall and land on the floor. "But not so easily.", Ravn says.
Esmeralda starts shooting flames towards them. The twins father puts his shield up but soon they are completely surrounded by flames and the shield gets smaller and smaller. Ravn and Mira try to put the fire out with water waves but everytime they put out the fire in one spot it immediately starts burning on that spot again. "It's useless we can't do anything.", Mira says. Keonhee sees Esmeraldas figure through the flames. "Maybe I can shoot her.", he says. He shoots an arrow at her. It disappears behind the wall of flames. A few seconds later dozens of arrows fly back at them. The twins cast their shield spell just in time but more arrows keep coming. Their shield slowly begins to crack. "How can she have so many arrows shooting at us?", the king asks in disbelief. "She just multiplies Keonhees arrow and sends them back at us. It is an easy spell... for an advanced magician.", Seoho explains. "Oh god, what have I done.", Keonhee says. In the meantime the wizards were finally able to put the flames out. Just when the twins shield is about to be destroyed completely, Esmeralda stops shooting arrows and runs towards them and her hands get covered in stone. She destroys the shield with her fists. Because of the impact the group gets thrown backwards and Dongmyeong hit his head on a pillar. He passes out and his head starts to bleed. Dongju stares at Esmeralda angrily. She grabs him by the throat and starts choking him. Hwanwoong climbs on her back and stabs her arm with a dagger. She lets loose of Dongju and grabs Hwanwoong by his collar, pulls him over her shoulder and throws him to the ground. He growns in pain. The king and Seoho try to attack her with their swords while Dongju heals Hwanwoong and his brother. Black mist comes out of Esmeraldas hands. It wraps around the swords and they turns to ashes. The two wizards bombard her with several spells but she blocks them all effortlessly. “We can't do anything against her!“, Geonhak says frustrated.
“What happens if the ones in our group who can use magic do a combined attack?“, Keonhee asks. Ravn makes a small tornado, Mira uses a fire spell to make it a flaming tornado and Hwanwoong makes it invisible. “Wow, invisible fire tornados. Finally something that is a little more challenging. But it won't prevent me from killing you.“, the leader of the assassins guild says. She teleports to an other spot in the room and starts throwing blades made out wind towards them. The king blocks them with his shield again. Esmeralda must have felt the heat of the tornado near her because she quickly teleports somewhere else. “How can she even be this strong?“, Dongmyeong, who is now fine again, asks. “Some wizards just have stronger magic powers than others. It depends on how many ancestors with magic powers you have I think.“, the king says.

Keonhee looks around and tries to figure out if he can help the situation right now somehow. He can't shoot arrows at her unless he wants it to rain arrows again. Also Geonhak, Seoho and the king don't have their weapons anymore but trying to take the weapons of the soldiers who attacked them earlier would be dangerous. He walks over to the twins, Geonhak and Seoho who also seem unsure about how they can help. “Guys, we need to do something. So let's gather what we have.“, Keonhee suggests. “Me and Dongmyeong still have our swords.“, Dongju states. “And we have Geonhaks muscles and my blinding smile.“, Seoho says and giggles. “We also have my bow and I have two daggers.“, Keonhee says. “But what...“, Geonhak starts but gets interrupted by a very excited Dongmyeong. “I have an idea! The room has really big windows right? And a lot of sunshine comes through the windows. So we can take the swords and reflect the sunlight with them so she gets blinded.“, the older twin explains. The others agree with his plan and the twins quickly get into position to blind Esmeralda. The sunlight falls onto the reflective surface and after fiddling around with the position of the sword a little bit, it gets reflected directly into Emeraldas eyes. The assassins guild leader screams and tries to block the light with her hand. She is so distracted by the light that she doesn't notice the warmth of the approaching fire tornado on her skin until it hits her and her left arm gets burned and her dress catches fire. She cast a gigantic water wave to extinguish her dress and get rid of the tornado. Then she turns towards the windows and with a hand motion dark fog gathers in front of them, letting no sunlight through. “I've had enough of playing around with you. You are starting to annoy me. Now we can do this two ways: I can give you a second chance to defeat me if the strongest of you over there decides to show his true powers and give me a real battle.“, she turns around and points at Seoho, “OR I kill the king and take the rest of you as captives and use you for my own pleasures.“

“Well option one would be kind of boring and also against the rules for me and option two is pretty stupid in my opinion.“, Seoho says. Suddenly the group gets split in the middle and thrown against the sides of the room except for the king who stands alone in the middle now. “Well, I didn't ask for your opinion.“ Esmeralda teleports in front of the king. She raises her hand and a sword from one of the dead soldiers flies towards her and into her hand. She is about to stab the king but Seoho runs towards them and throws himself between them. Instead of the king she hits Seoho directly in his heart. Keonhee can see the angel smile before he falls to the ground lifeless.

The others immediately try to run towards him but Esmeralda pushes them back against the walls and puts them into magical cages. The twins father tries to run away from her but she gets a bow and arrows from one of the dead archers and shoots an arrow after him...

Hi, how are you? I hope you are healthy. Thank you for 3000 reads, I am really happy that so many people seem to like this story. This chapter was a bit hard to write for me because I am pretty bad at writing fighting scenes. I hope it was enjoyable anyway. I also love the oneus new songs a song written easily because the melody is so pretty and hide and seek. I am also excited for Onewes comeback in a few days. 😊❤🐁
