𝐚/𝐧: happy birthday little one🥺💜🐰

Putting his phone aside, Jungkook stared up at his ceiling, trying to process what just happened. So basically, his crush was crushing on the idol which was Jungkook but not on his real self.

Sighing, the brunette curled himself into a ball, pondering why the world was so cruel. He couldn't tell Taehyung that he was his crush kookie97, the blonde would just be utterly disgusted and sad, probably Taehyung would even reveal his secret identity and then it would be over for Jungkook.

His mind wandered and he was so deep in thoughts that he didn't even notice Yoongi coming in his room a few minutes later. Confused, the older crossed his arms and watched Jungkook staring at the ceiling, seeming tired and deep in thoughts.

"Kook, what's up?"

No response.

"Kook?"

Yoongi asked once more, but again, no answer.

"Jeon Jungkook! What's wrong?"

The older's eyebrow twitched in annoyance as Jungkook didn't move a muscle and just continued staring at the ceiling with lifeless eyes. Walking over to the younger, he waved his hand infront of Jungkook's face without getting a reaction.

"JUNGKOOK!!" Yoongi shouted before poking the younger's cheek aggressively.

Jungkook slowly turned towards him with blank eyes and the older gulped, he had never seen the younger so emotionless. Slowly sitting down next to him, the mint-haired male understood that his best friend was in a much more worse situation than he could imagine.

"Wanna talk about it?" Yoongi's voice turned soft, knowing that he should be careful with each word he was going to say.

"Or do you want to call her?"

"No, she's probably busy at the moment." Jungkook sighed and rolled around so his head was resting on Yoongi's lap.

"Why can't Taehyung just like me as much as I like him?" he sniffled and now Yoongi understood.

"Kookie, do you wanna hear my opinion?"

Jungkook turned his gaze up to Yoongi, who had begun to stroke his hair. Jungkook hesitated a bit because he knew that Yoongi was a very honest person and always told him the truth, even if Jungkook didn't want to hear it. The younger took a deep breath and nodded, hiding his face in Yoongi's thigh afterwards.

"You're such a pussy, you know?"

"I know, shut up!" Jungkook whined, curling himself into a ball, causing the other to chuckle quietly.

"So, if you ask me, you should finally confess to Taehyung."

Jungkook snapped his head back towards Yoongi, face instantly flushing bright red.

"W-what!? W-why should I—" Jungkook got interrupted by a finger on his lips.

"Let me finish. I think you should confess to him soon. Lately I've got the feeling that Taehyung has changed ever since you came into his life. And by the way he didn't change only a little bit, but a lot. Trust me, I know Tae, and I'm pretty sure that he changed. I mean, everyone could sense that he absolutely despised you when two first met plus the following first days. But at some point everything changed. I personally think the Biology project was the reason and that he got to know you better during that period—"

As Yoongi continued to talk about his point of view, Jungkook was trying hard not to blush because he was sure that their kisses had been the spark of their friendship.

Funny, Jungkook thought. He always assumed that those people who aren't in a relationship yet but already had kissed each other, will eventually fall in love with one another, however, he and Taehyung weren't even halfway there where Jungkook wished them to be.

"Anyways, I think the time has finally come for you to confess."

"B-but I'm definitely not ready!" Jungkook whined, hiding his face again.

"Now or never, Kook. I know that you're shy, but you have to do it now when Taehyung is still reachable. Your relationship could get worse anytime, so why not do it now?"

Jungkook huffed and nodded, cheeks bright red. But deep down he knew that his best friend was right.

"Alright, I have a perfect plan. How about confessing to him on that upcoming festival?"
