When Taehyung joined the others one minute later, he looked calm but on the inside he was mess because his mind and his heart were fighting each other. His mind screamed at him to just let it be even if he suffered from it but his heart wasn't giving up and deep down, it kept telling Taehyung over and over that he still had a chance to confess his feelings.

He just had to try again. His train of thoughts got interrupted as Jungkook, who had just walked up on stage, cleared his throat. The audience quietened down faster than expected, everyone's eyes on the peach-haired male.

"First of all, uh, I just wanted to say hi and introduce myself to those who don't know me," Jungkook showed a nervous bunny smile and the crowd cooed, "my name is Jeon Jungkook and I'm pretty sure you're all wondering why I'm up here all alone without the rest of Bangtan. The reason is because we prepared not just six, but seven songs."

Excited murmurs and whispers echoed through the crowd and the peach-haired male took a second before continuing.

"This song however, is different from the others. It's a solo and I'm the one who's gonna present it to you. Now some of you may wonder why I am announcing this such a, dare I say, weird way. Well, that's because there's someone in here I want to dedicate this special song to. She's been by my side my whole life and has never let me down once. So, this is basically my way of saying 'Thank you for always being there for me'. Actually, she helped to compose half of the song years ago, the rest was only composed recently. So, without further do, let's begin! This one's for you, Minji."

The crowd began clapping and cheering loudly when the lights dimmed for a few seconds until the music started and Jungkook began to sing. Taehyung just watched the younger through a small opening of the curtain, eyes completely blank. The rest of the group gathered right behind him since they had to get onstage pretty soon aswell, peeking over his shoulder to glance at Jungkook.

"He's amazing." Seokjin grinned and the others agreed, only Taehyung stayed silent.

He's had so many— so fucking many chances to confess on this day, yet every opportunity got ruined by someone else. Why hadn't he gathered the courage to tell the younger sooner? If he had done it before, he wouldn't have to face the consequences now.

But it was too late now and he couldn't do anything about it anymore. He wanted to cry. He wanted to scream. He wanted... Jungkook. He squeezed his eyes shut as tears pooled in them. Why, just why was he so useless and pathetic? Hands balling into fists, he gritted his teeth, shoulders twitching.

"Tae? Are you alright?" Jimin's worried voice filled his ears but his brain didn't register any of his words.

No... No! This couldn't be the end right?

He clenched his fists harder, ignoring the concerned questions from his friends and brothers. His teary eyes fluttered open and settled on Jungkook.

"You are the cause of my euphoria!"

That's when Taehyung's emotions took complete control over him, his heart screaming 'I will confess, just give me a chance!' loudly. The blonde felt his body move on its own, having no control over it anymore when he grabbed his microphone and before anyone could stop him, he already was onstage.

Jungkook turned around, his eyes widening as he saw Taehyung stand infront of him. The blonde looked like he was about to cry, knuckled turning white from how hard he was gripping his mic. The audience was surprised aswell but cheered anyway. Totally overwhelmed, the younger even forgot to sing the last part of the refrain but Taehyung was quick to raise his mic and finish it for him.
