Keith didn't know how this had happened. But here he was, sitting in Lance Mcclain's room, reading books.
"You should have really seen it! Whales are such giant creatures and are actually utterly terrifying!", Lance exclaimed as he shoved a book into Keith's lap.
Keith looked down at his lap towards the book and saw the page was open to a small story about whales.
Keith stared at the words on the page. They didn't say anything to him. Words never did.
But the picture drawn on the page showed him the enormous monster that is known as a whale.
"It's so cool right", Lance gushed as Keith examined the picture closely.
Keith nodded. It was truly amazing that something was that big! And it just swam around in the vast ocean.
After a few more minutes of Lance gushing about aquatic animals, Keith piped up.
"Is it really okay that I am sitting on your bed? It's getting dirty... again", Keith added the last part as he remembered the last incident that had happened here.
Those sheets took hours to clean probably.
Lance shrugged, "It's fine".
Keith frowned but said nothing more.
And so the rest of the time, Keith sat silently as Lance continued to talk.
But it was much better than crawling down into the chimneys.
