Ride On

Two Months Later

*Kollin's  POV*

It has been two months since I've seen Jade around. I only see is Cody and Tyler. I thought Tyler and Cody were mad at one another. I guess not. I know Tyler is mad at me for what I did to Jade. He called off our partnership. And I don't blame him.

I'm back on the road. I'm sitting eighth in the world as of right now. I changed up my game plan. For what happened to Jade, I went home and took a month off. I wanted to relax and refocus my mind on rodeo.

I was heading to San Angelo Texas for a rodeo. I know Tyler and Cody will be there. Because Tyler is sticking with our old rodeo schedule. But the thing is, why haven't I seen Jade out on the road. What was going on? I like to ask for her but I doubt anyone would tell me.

I still can't believe what I have done. I never wanted to hurt her. But my life would be in jeopardy if I didn't. Jade didn't do anything wrong. She just wanted to be happy. Why can't I be happy for her? Maybe because she was my happiness. Oh god, what the hell am I thinking here?

I was loading up my horses. I do still live in Blanchard. Tyler moved in with Cody. I was hitting the road ready to meet my new partner. I've seen him rope before and he also made the NFR, multiple times. I think we have a chance this year. My phone started to ring.

"Yeah" I said 

"What time will you be pulling in" my partner asked

"Uhh... about five this evening"

"Alright... see ya then pard"

"Yep"

We both hung up. I'm gonna be honest, I'm a bit nervous. Because this is our first rodeo together. We practice a few times, but this is a rodeo. It's either he's gonna stick em quick or make a practice run. All I know, is I have to be alert.

I get to San Angelo. I check in for stalls, and I'm guided by one of the stall guys. I take my horses off the trailer and my phone rings again.

"Hey"

"Hey bud where you at now"

"I just pulled into the fair grounds"

"Alright... meet me at Texas Land and Cattle."

"Ok.. I just need to feed and drop the trailer"

"Alright.. see ya then"

"Yep"

After I fed and watered my horses, I went to go drop the trailer. Once all that was done, I'm heading off to the steak house to meet my partner.

I pulled up to the steak house and I searched for him. I see him sitting with a girl. He was waving me down. But as I got closer, I was blinded by beauty. Holy cow, this girl is beautiful.

"Kollin... meet my daughter Taylor" Luke introduced us
