Chapter 2: Endless Curiosity

After moments had passed, Nezuko and you finally decided to go meet the boys at the tree near the entrance of the school. It was the usual meetup spot for lunch since it was the easiest to remember. Plus, it was faster to get there instead of climbing a bunch of stares just to eat at the roof.

When Nezuko and you both reached to the tree, the both of you didn't expect to see or hear Tanjiro lecturing you two for worrying him. Usually, Tanjiro was the one who was patient and kind with you two.  'I guess that's just his older brother instincts.' you thought and chuckled. Nezuko smiles at her brother and chose to sit down under the tree. You were just standing there as Tanjiro was looking directly at you since you were closer. Tanjiro, still having his "older brother mode" moment, continues with his lecture. 

"Seriously! Where were you two? The lunch period is almost over and you two haven't eaten a thing yet! I'm worried for your health you know! I don't want to lecture you but c'mon!" Tanjiro said as he began to pout.

You giggled at his reaction and pulled him into a hug. "I'm sorry..hehe." you giggled a bit at his reaction. He, for the first time, refuses to hug you back and puts his hands on his hips.

"Oh no you don't! Hugs won't make me forgive you this time!" Tanjiro said passionately. Both Nezuko and you were staring at him until he began to crack up and start laughing.

Tanjiro's reaction made the events from before disappear for a few moments until you heard a scream from afar.
 
"Ta-n-ji-ro-u ~!" a familiar yellow haired boy yelled from the top of his lungs. Students nearby the entrance were staring at him and his loud voice.

"Ah! Zenitsu! Over here!" Tanjiro yelled as you turned your head to see Zenitsu waving happily at your little group under the tree. Zenitsu jogs over happily until he sees Nezuko and you. Zenitsu froze for a second, his face getting red like a tomato. Suddenly, he began screaming which gained a lot of attention from students nearby.

Zenitsu cups his face for a few seconds, trying to calm himself from seeing the two girls he loved the most. He removes his focus on Tanjiro, and he focuses on you and Nezuko with happy eyes.

 'Ah.. In 3.. 2.. 1..' 

"Nezuko~ ! (Y/N)~ ! Ahehe.." Zenitsu yelled with all of his emotions being presented in two names. Nezuko tilted her head, but she waved at Zenitsu. Zenitsu finally reaches towards your group and began giggling to himself. While Zenitsu was giggling silently to himself, Tanjiro shook his head and sighed. "Zenitsu.. Please don't start flirting with my sister.." Tanjiro said with a sigh as he shakes his head. 

"Oh! Okay, then (Y/N)~." Zenitsu said with a smile on his face. Tanjiro shook his head and chuckled slightly. "Zenitsu, no." Tanjiro said as he turns around to face Nezuko and you.

"Anyways, what in the world happened to you two? You two smell like you're scared or something." Tanjiro said with utmost concern for the both of you. Nezuko froze and looked away which sparked an reaction between Tanjiro and Zenitsu. You signalled them to sit down as the whole group sat down with their lunches. Tanjiro with furrowed brows and Zenitsu tilting his head in curiosity. Since Nezuko didn't want to speak about it, you spoke for her and you.

"After you left Tanjiro.." you began as you looked up at Tanjiro. He nodded and motioned you to continue with the story. "Nezuko and I entered the restroom because we heard rustling sounds. We checked it out and we found-" you froze. You remembered the scene vividly as Nezuko perks up to say, "..demons."
