"Here we are, the infamous old restaurant that my dad loves a lot." Jeongyeon blurted out, while parking the car in front of the restaurant. Jeongyeon get out of the car and quickly ran to the passengers side to open the door for Nayeon. "Milady." Jeongyeon said, offering her hand for Nayeon to take. "You're so sweet." Nayeon replied, not able to wipe the smile off her face. Jeongyeon passed her car keys to the valet and walked hand in hand with Nayeon, entering the fancy restaurant. "Your dad is already here?" Nayeon asked her girlfriend. "I'm not sure, but let's just go in first. I've made us a reservation. Come on baby." Jeongyeon dragged Nayeon inside the restaurant following the waitress whose leading them to their table. "Ms. Yoo. Can I get you anything for starters?" The waitress asked. "The regular, but make it two. And my dad's usual as well. He'll be here any minute." Jeongyeon said and the waitress just nodded and went away instantly. "They know you?" Nayeon questioned. "I guess? My dad used to bring Jihyo and I here a lot. Dad even had his morning coffee here everyday. This place isn't even a coffee shop to begin with. I mean, there's a lot of great coffee shops out there but he just like it in here, I don't know." Jeongyeon replied innocently. Nayeon just nodding gracefully as a sign of acknowledging her girlfriend's answers. The two talked for a few more minutes when Nayeon recognize a familiar figure heading their way. "Jeongyeon. Sorry I'm late. Got caught in the traffic jams." Mr. Yoo greeted his daughter. "No worries dad. We're just here. Meet my girlfriend, Nayeon." Jeongyeon introduced Nayeon and Mr. Yoo's direction changed towards the other girl whose sitting besides Jeongyeon. His eyebrows perked up seeing the girl. "Pleasure to meet you Mr. Yoo." Nayeon bowed. "Pleasure is all mine." Mr. Yoo replied with a smile.
The three had conversations about their daily life and routines. It amazed Jeongyeon on how her dad and Nayeon got along so well and how every topics that they shared and discussed, falls naturally. Jeongyeon excuse herself to the washroom, leaving Mr. Yoo and Nayeon continuing their dinner. "Nayeon." Mr. Yoo called for Nayeon's attention right after Jeongyeon's figure is out of their sight. "Uncle please don't say anything to Jeong. I'm sorry I didn't know she's your daughter at first. Well technically, I knew that just recently because Sana told me who she really is." Nayeon pleads. Mr. Yoo just laughed lightly. "How many Yoos did you know exist in Korea, Nayeon? What's going on now tell me." Mr. Yoo asked the girl. "It might sound stupid but I never think about that, and she doesn't look like you? No offense." Nayeon replied. "None taken, she resembled her mom. I get that a lot. Did she know that you're a stewardess?" Mr. Yoo probe another question. "Um. No? I told her that I'm a bus conductor, but she never questioned my job so I guess she's okay with it? I'll tell her the truth I promise. Oh and fun fact! She introduced herself to me as an average blue collar employee you know." Nayeon said smirking. "Haha really? But then she flaunts her favorite Dior trench coat and drove you here with her Range Rover?" Mr. Yoo replied, while smiling thinking about her daughter. "I know right? But I believe she forgot that she's NOT average haha." Nayeon and Mr. Yoo was amused talking about Jeongyeon's 'charm'. "Uncle can you keep this between us? I know you have a lot of questions right now especially on how we met. I will tell you when I got the chance. And don't tell my dad please? He will say that I'm just messing around and not serious in my relationship but I genuinely like Jeongyeon." Nayeon knew that she can rely on Jeongyeon's dad rather than her own dad. Nayeon is very secretive about her love life, it has always been like that since high school. "Okay okay I'm on your side right now. But come clean to Jeongyeon soon okay? She's really fragile compare to her sister. I'll leave this all to you and your smart plan." Mr. Yoo assured. "Thank you uncle." Nayeon felt relieved. Jeongyeon approached her girlfriend and dad not long after. Mr. Yoo had to excuse himself early from their dinner. "Jeongyeon, I got to go now. We'll continue this some other time. Sorry honey." Mr. Yoo kissed Jeongyeon's forehead and bid goodbye to both of the girls.
Jeongyeon and Nayeon left the restaurant half an hour after. They decided to stroll down the city streets in Jeongyeon's matte black range rover. "What did you talked about earlier with my dad?" Jeongyeon asked. "Nothing. Just business." Nayeon replied bluntly. "Just business? Really? You guys looks like you've known each other. He usually don't do that with strangers." Jeongyeon stated. Nayeon stiffened but continue scrolling through her phone, hiding her face in her scarf that covering her lower face. "Um maybe we clicked? I don't know it seems natural talking to your dad." Nayeon replied. Still managed to hide her nervousness. "Anyway, babe I'm going away for a week. There's this business conference in London that I have to attend. My dad usually the one who go but this time he wants me to go so guess I'll be away from you." Jeongyeon grabbed Nayeon's hand and intertwined their fingers. "A week? Okay." Nayeon replied. "That's it? You're okay with it?" Jeongyeon sigh, frustrated. Nayeon laughed wholeheartedly. "Jeong, don't be a baby. I know it will be a boring week for me but baby you got a job to take care of. You're not going there for fun right? Since when you're this whiny? Besides, it's only for a week, baby you'll be back here before you even know it. I'm trying to feed you with positive thoughts here. Come on work with me." Nayeon said jokingly. "But babe it's a week WITHOUT you." Jeongyeon let go of Nayeon's hand and her face drops, eyes fixed on the road ahead. "You're so cute. The faster you go the faster you come back in my arms." Nayeon said softly, placing a single kiss on Jeongyeon's cheek, leaving the girl's heart flutters.
Jeongyeon dropped Nayeon off her condo unit. While Nayeon was scrambling her purse looking for her house keys, she heard someone called her name. Nayeon turned her back and she can't believe who's in front of her. "Unnie!! Oh my god you're here!" Nayeon hugged Seoyeon like her life was depending on her. "Jeez Nayeonie calm down you'll make us deaf." Seoyeon said. "Us?" Nayeon lose the hug and look at her sister, puzzled. "Nayeon-unnie!" Nayeon peeked behind Seoyeon and saw someone is running towards her. Nayeon gasped. "Dubu? DUBU you're here!!" Nayeon pushed Seoyeon aside and ran towards Dahyun. The two was hugging a jumping cheerfully. "Oh god you monkeys. Stop please. You two never fails to embarrass me in public. Nayeonie faster! I'm hungry." Seoyeon said annoyed. "You're such a grandma. Come on let's go up." Nayeon tells the two to follow her. The elevator ride was full of screaming and laughing by the three. They reached Nayeon's unit a few seconds later and Dahyun's mouth was wide agape. "Unnie! This is your house? Woah daebakk! You live here by yourself?" Dahyun was in awe, scanning every angle of Nayeon's house. "Dahyunie you make it sounds like it's good and bad at the same time. Yes and yes. The whole unit was all mine and I live alone, sadly. But Sana always here too so I guess I'm only alone at times?" Nayeon replied. "Sana? Our cousin Sana? Don't you hate her?" Seoyeon asked. "When we were young, yes. Sana's a different person now. That's girl is so charismatic but still clumsy lol. She works with dad. His proud right hand person. I don't mind honestly. Business aren't really my thing you know that." Nayeon explained. "Not your thing? Nayeonie, you have MBA for god sake. You just don't want to use the gift yet. Bet dad nags you everyday to stop flying and work with him right? Coz you're good at it!" Seoyeon hyping up her younger sister. "I said it's not my thing, I didn't say I'm not good at it? There's a different there unnie. But whatever, I love flying so I'm gonna keep doing the things I like. End of discussion. Anyways, you said you were hungry so let's just order a takeout. Dubs stop scanning the house! You won't be leaving this premise anytime soon. You have plenty of time to look around. Let's order some food!" Nayeon shouted from the living room startling the awed looking tofu making Dahyun ran towards the source of the voice.
"Sooo hows the 'girlfriend' doing?" Seoyeon breaks the silence between the three girls whose been eating so quietly. "Why are you air quoting the 'girlfriend' word? Unnie she's real okay, you know that. And she's fine. We're fine. Great, actually. Well not really." Seoyeon and Dahyun showed a puzzled looks. "We are in a good terms, fullstop." Nayeon assured. "Yeeahh right. You okay there sis? You can always talk to me you know. Or Dubs." Seoyeon smirked, looking at Dahyun. "Yeah unnie. Seoyeon unnie was right. You kinda look okay but kinda not sometimes. Is there anything bothering you? You never told me about this girlfriend of yours but I'll just pretend that I know the entire story so I'm cool. But starting from now, I'm gonna sniff your every track so I can meet this girlfriend." Dahyun said confidently. "What the hell haha you are so weird Dubu. We're really in a good terms, I'm not lying. It's just that, I don't know when to tell her about my real job." Nayeon explained, while looking down at her plate and playing with the leftover. "Nayeonie, she didn't know you're a stewardess? Did she asked what's your job?" Seoyeon asked. "Uh huh." Nayeon replied still not looking up. Dahyun was so focus of the two. "So? What did you tell her?" Seoyeon getting more curious waiting for her sister answer. "I told her I work as a bus conductor?" Nayeon answered looking at Seoyeon this time with a guilty looks. Seoyeon's gaze was directed to Dahyun eye to eye and the two suddenly burst out laughing. "You two are the worst. A girl need a help here." Nayeon said. "A bus conductor? Really Nayeonie? And she bought that? Such an innocent soul." Seoyeon said in between her laugh. "Unnie why didn't you tell her the truth in the first place? It's not a bad job?" Dahyun asked. "I don't know! Okay? I panicked. And I don't think it would matters. I kinda sees her as this innocent girl, it's true that she's annoyingly cute innocent human, who won't judge people based on how they look like and I was right because she's not." Nayeon is so relieved at the fact that Jeongyeon is exactly what she thought. That pure hearted girl has all the package of a girlfriend material. "Nayeon, tell her the truth. She likes you right? She will understand. She might hate you for a little-" "Unnie!" Seoyeon was cut off by Nayeon who's looking at her in disbelief. "I'm kidding I'm kidding. Or am I? Hahahah but seriously. You're both adults not a high school kids. Talk it out. You'll feel better. It will make things better trust me." Seoyeon rubbed Nayeon's arm, calming the girl. "Seoyeon unnie was right. Come on Nayeon unnie. Don't let this tiny stuff ruins your relationship and don't keep it for long." Dahyun added. Nayeon went silent. Trying to absorb everything that both girls in front of her have said. The three finished their dinner and went to bed not long after since all of them had a long day. While Seoyeon and Dahyun was fast asleep in Nayeon's guest room, Nayeon on the other hand cannot close her eyes. Don't be ridiculous Nayeon she won't get mad at you. Just get over it and tell her. Nayeon's thoughts advised. "I'll tell her when she's back." Nayeon told herself and drifted to sleep a few moments later.
