"I'm meeting some new clients today. There's foods in the fridge. The spare key card is in the usual place. Don't keep yourself confine in here Nayeon. Go out a bit." Sana paced back and forth grabbing her belongings before she went out. Nayeon was still curled up with her blanket in the living room accompanied by a pint of vanilla ice cream, humming passively acknowledging her cousin. "Call me if you need anything and don't do anything stupid Im Nayeon. I gotta run now see you tonight." Sana left her residence leaving the quiet girl alone. Nayeon stared at the television blankly. She didn't even know what was the content that she's been watching. She then scooped another mouthful of ice cream when suddenly she realized something. 'It's Jeongyeon's favorite flavor, vanilla.' Everything came back flashing in her mind, replaying all the happy times that she had with Jeongyeon. Nayeon teared up for god knows how many times for the past two days. She wiped her tears and scooped the ice cream again hoping the freezing cold gelato would froze her heart so she won't feel the pain anymore. It's pretty stupid to think of that but it was the only one of many ways suits Nayeon's ridiculous logic at the moment.
Sana arrived at her workplace half an hour later. "Shit shit shit you're late Sana." Sana mutters to herself. After tripping and trembling while keeping her pace faster than usual at the same time fixing her heels, the girl finally reached her office. "Ms. Minatozaki! Your client is already here. She's in the meeting room." Sana's personal assistant informed. "I know I know. "Damn it! this heels-, Lia can you get the tea lady to prepare something? Send it to the meeting room thank you." Sana rushed herself into the meeting room and she was met with a black haired girl. "My apology to keep you waiting. I presume you're Ms Hirai?" Sana greeted her client, initiating a handshake to keep the formality even though she's pretty much still catching her breath. "No problem at all Ms. Minatozaki. Pleasure to meet you and please call me Momo." Momo returned the gesture. "Pleasure is all mine. You can call me Sana. Have a sit. By the way, I was informed previously that Mr. Hirai will be here joining our meeting? But it seems like you're the only representative today." Sana politely asked. "My dad couldn't make it here today. He had some urgency that requires his presence." Momo explained. "Very well then. Shall we begin?" Sana probe their business meeting straight away without wasting any more time. "Right into business. I like that. But you look like you've drained your energy Ms. Minatozaki. Are you sure you're okay?" Momo can't help but to feel a bit worried about the long haired blonde. "I had some 'situation' at home earlier but I'm good I'm good. Thanks for the concern." Sana took a deep breath for a few moment and composed herself. "Okay let's continue." The other girl just nodded in agreement.
"So, which part of Japan you're from?" Sana asked. The two ended up having a lunch together after the meeting. Sana thinks it would be appropriate for her to treat Momo some lunch saying she's not making a good first impression towards her client when she arrived late this morning. Momo insisted that it was nothing unprofessional but the long haired blonde was being persistent, so Momo just went along with her. "I'm from Kyotanabe. But we moved to Tokyo when I was 10 when my dad started his business there. What about you?" Momo asked Sana the same question. "Osaka. Moved here to pursue a modeling career but I found out that I'm more into business. Kinda stray far from what I've intended haha but here I am now. No regrets not even for a bit." Sana chuckles. "How long have you been working with Im Corp? If you don't mind me asking." Momo continue to get to know Sana's background. "2 years. You must be thinking how on earth a Japanese girl suddenly became a right hand of the Chairman." Sana narrowed her sight, smirking at Momo. "I believe the world works in many wonderful ways Ms. Minatozaki but please, do enlighten me." Momo replied smiling genuinely. "Mr. Im is my mum's older brother. I go by my dad's surname. My uncle said he can see a potential in me to run his business. So I accepted. Knowing that my parents would be delighted as well since they're not really fond of me carrying the model title." Momo raised her eyebrows comprehending the new facts. "Mr. Im doesn't have direct heirs?" Momo didn't mean to pry but the conversation is getting more and more interesting. "He does. A pair of twins. But both of them prefer not to mingle in this world. 'It doesn't suits a pretty face just to live in a cage.' As one of them said." Sana recalled Nayeon's 'words of wisdom'. "Ah I see. I understand them though. I was not into this kind of stuff as well but considering my dad is getting older and my sister already have a lot in her plate managing our headquarters in Japan, I believe someone just have to do it right? But I'm still enjoying my free time doing the things that I like. I do dancing sometimes. It keeps me distracted when I needed it." Sana keep her focus on the black haired girl that was sitting in front of her, amazed by the fact that Momo wasn't the type of some bragging bitch when usually one will be when their parents own a multimillion company. "Oh by the way, I heard that your company had some business venture with the Yoos too?" Thank god Momo was professional enough not to spit on her water. "Too soon to steal my client now don't you think?" Momo joked. "No silly. They already have some business running with Im Corp. I was just asking." Sana retorted and Momo let out a chuckle. "I'm kidding I'm kidding. Yes we have some deals going on. My dad knows Mr. Yoo for how many years now and I happened to befriend his daughter, Jeongyeon. Lowkey of a person but feisty on the field." Momo suddenly wondering about Jeongyeon's current condition. She hasn't contacted her friend for a few days now since the first two days after Jeongyeon's breakdown, the girl wasn't picking up Momo's calls. The thoughts of going to visit her friend was there but Momo was suddenly too occupied with her work. 'Maybe I can drop by to Jeong's after this to check on her.' Momo tells herself. "Yoo Jeongyeon. The most eligible bachelorette in South Korea right now whose both men and women thought they could have but too bad girly is off market now. If you ever met her don't tell her I said that. She'll gloat about it in front of my face till the day I die." Momo playfully warned. "You seems close to her. Am I smelling a relationship here?" Sana teased. "What? Me? With Jeongyeon? God no. We're good friends. Yes." Momo frowned as she heard what's Sana just assumed. As much as Sana wanted to dig out more information about Jeongyeon, she keep herself from being too obvious. Momo looked too innocent in her eyes and the girl probably had no idea on what's going on between Jeongyeon and her cousin so she decided to lay off her many questions.
