Trust

Jeongyeon was sure to flashed a sour face to tell that she wasn't happy with what she saw. The blonde still composing herself even though the sight of her sworn enemy hugging her girlfriend still boiled her blood out. Yes. Jeongyeon and Jennie knew each other. In fact, they've known each other for years. Jeongyeon would never forget the bitter past she had involving the smug looking girl whose standing in front of her at that moment. "Yoo." Jennie greeted, irritated. "Kim." Jeongyeon coldly answered, standing still while crossing her arms across her chest. Nayeon was confused on how the two knew each other but she's definitely not stupid to tell that she's in the middle of a cold war. The air was getting thinner inside the living room. "Okay stop the staring. You two are creeping me out. Whatever history you both have, my house most likely not the best place to be the wrestle ring." Nayeon then walked over to Jeongyeon and softly reached the blonde's arm. Jeongyeon  soften her stare when she saw Nayeon's warm smile. "You shouldn't be here Jennie. Did my mum send you here? Whatever that she told you to tell me, I'm not interested. Please leave." Nayeon speak up while taking small steps towards Jennie but still keeping her distance. "Nayeon, I came to see you. I heard from your mum that you were in an accident. I was so worried." Jennie genuinely expressed, extending her arms to reach out for Nayeon but stopped by Jeongyeon's stern voice. "Don't touch her. Keep your hands to yourself. You came to visit and you've seen enough. She's fine with me. Now leave." Jennie scoffed, "Fine? This is how define FINE, Yoo? Look at her! She's pale and skinny. She flinch when she walks. So no. Your definition of fine doesn't look right to me." Jeongyeon was ready to launch herself at the girl she despise the most but Nayeon was fast enough to stop her. "I'm right here you know. You don't have to insult my condition in front of me." Nayeon uttered. Jennie sighed, feeling guilty. She tried to reason the facts but Nayeon was not letting her to aggravate the situation. "Jennie, look. I appreciate the visit, but I think I'm doing okay. Please don't make things harder between us. My memory still intact, in case you forgot what you had done to me and my girlfriend. So please, please leave." The words that came out from Nayeon's mouth stabbed Jennie right in her chest. She knew Nayeon would never forget the 'crime' she'd committed, but she did it because she was blinded by her unrequited love for Nayeon. Jennie looked hurt, and Nayeon feel bad but she has to let loose. Jeongyeon on the other hand, couldn't care less. "We were doing fine before you met her. You were always there for me and and I'd always put you first in everything, Nayeon. I was so close of having you in my arms. So close." Jennie uttered, almost like whisper. "There were never an 'us'! I love you because you are my closest friend. But I can't accept the stunts you pulled on me. If you truly love me, you wouldn't do that. You ruined our friendship, you ruined my trust on you." Nayeon choked on her last words and Jeongyeon couldn't bear to look at her girlfriend in that state, again. So she cooed the now crying girl and cradle her into an embrace. "Hey, hey shh. Don't force yourself to recall all that please." Jeongyeon softly patted her girlfriend's back and Nayeon clings onto Jeongyeon's shirt, whimpering. Jeongyeon gently led Nayeon to the couch and sat her on it, while herself back at facing the other girl. "Jennie, this is not the right time to talk about your problems. Whatever it is that you guys need to talk about, you can do it when she's fully recovered. She's easily-," Before Jeongyeon could finish her sentence, a loud gunshot ringing in her ears following with a sharp pain on her right shoulder. "Jeongyeon!" Nayeon screams her girlfriend's name startling the already trembling Jennie who has a gun in her grip. Jennie gasped and drop the gun on the floor. "I.. I didn't mean..to.." Jennie then darted out of the resident, frightened by the incident. Chaeyoung and Mina rushed towards the couple which both on their knees, with Nayeon trying to keep Jeongyeon from falling. "No no no Jeongyeon! Baby stay with me. DON'T CLOSE YOUR EYES! Don't you dare sleep on me Yoo Jeongyeon. Please.. Oh god. Chaeng call an ambulance! Nayeon almost drop the girl in her arms when Jeongyeon starting to lose her vision. "It hu..hurts...so bad." Nayeon was sobbing while cupping Jeongyeon's face in her palm. While Mina was struggling to keep a firm pressure on the wound. "Nayeon listen to me. Lay her down, I need to keep this wound elevated. She's losing too much blood. Work with me. She'll get through this but I need you to stay calm and don't let Jeongyeon lost her consciousness. Chaeyoung, grab some clean towel." Chaeyoung sprinted to Nayeon's room and came back just as fast while Nayeon nodded in agreement, wiping her tears using her sleeves.
