Jeongyeon was discharged a week after she'd been warded. Her dad insisted for the blonde to stay indoor and monitored longer in the hospital which recommended by the doctor since, even though the wound doesn't tear other important parts and organs that helps her run her body, the girl was never fully recovered from the trauma of the tragedy and Jeongyeon was fortunate that Nayeon were always there to calm her nightmares. But since Jeongyeon feels a bit rebellious at the moment, it doesn't take too much of an effort for her to manipulate every concern living soul, saying she would have been into depression for staying another day in the hospital. Lost by the bickering with her daughter's smart mouth, Mr. Yoo agreed for her beloved daughter to be discharged. An easy victory indeed, Jeongyeon released a breath of relief in silence. Even Nayeon couldn't persuade her girlfriend to stay in the hospital until she's fully recovered.
"You should rest, it's cold outside. You'll catch a flu." Nayeon had been watching her girlfriend who was staring far ahead into the view from the balcony. When Jeongyeon's dad make a deal with her being discharged early than it should, the older Yoo made her daughter promise that she will stay under his watch for the time being, until he is fully convince that Jeongyeon was back on her feet. So Jeongyeon obeyed and agreed to stay not in the family mansion still, since she thinks the house is literally a castle, but in one of her dad's penthouse which secured with high-end home security system. The blonde persuasiveness maneuvered her girlfriend into staying over with her and Nayeon could never say no to Jeongyeon's pair of puppy dog eyes and pouting lips.
Jeongyeon sighed deeply, still fixated her eyes on the view in front of her. She was looking at a pair of couples whose walking hand in hand at the sidewalk at the same time her mind, wanders. Nayeon stood behind her, encircling her arms around the blonde's waist, carefully placing her chin on top of the younger's left shoulder. "Hey," Nayeon said. "Hi baby." Jeongyeon replied softly. She can feel that Nayeon was smiling since her cheek raised up a bit, hitting her jawline. "What are you thinking about?" Nayeon asked. Jeongyeon didn't answered instantly and Nayeon waited, patiently. Enjoying the cold breeze caressing her skin alongside the warmth from both of their bodies that added to the comforts. "Do you think if we have met in highschool, things would've been different?" Jeongyeon muttered.
Nayeon raised both her eyebrows, wasn't really surprised with the question but the question just, never crossed her mind. "Maybe." The older girl answered short. "Maybe, how?" Jeongyeon continue to ask. "Maybe we won't be together right now. Or maybe we would've been married. To each other or..somebody elses." Nayeon mumble but Jeongyeon went silent. Too silent for Nayeon's liking, so the girl rephrased her answers. "Maybe, whether or not we met in the past, I trust the universe and its mysterious ways, Jeong. I didn't mean it to sound cliche but I believe we'll still find each other no matter what. I mean, look at us. We look so damn good together. Chaeyoung even called us the power couple @ the parents." Nayeon tried to lighten up the mood and it worked when Jeongyeon laughed warmly. "But, why me?" Jeongyeon continue to asked. "Is this a test? How is that even a question?" Nayeon questioned back. "No. I mean, you are really gorgeous, babe. You can get anyone to kneel before you by just, a snap of a finger. So, why me?" Nayeon sense insecurity lingers around the sentence. "Do you want to hear the opposite answer instead? Because you won't ever hear it from me." Nayeon answered calmly but stern, still suppressing herself from any negative sentiments.
Jeongyeon placed her hands on top of Nayeons' who still had both her hands encircled around her waist. "That doesn't really answered my question babe." Jeongyeon sighed. "You know, I won't be questioning the same to you asking why you choose me over hundreds of men & women who begs to be with you because I know, I deserved you, I deserved to be with you. After all we've been through. But, Jeong, I've never felt this way before. Yes, I've dated a few but with you, it's something else. It's new and so foreign, it terrifies me sometimes but I crave for you every second, on every beat of my heart, I don't know how to stop. Heck, I don't want to stop. Whenever I'd imagined we were no longer together, it felt like my heart were ripped out of my chest." Nayeon genuinely shared. Jeongyeon smiles warmly. "I love you." Jeongyeon uttered. Well aware of what's coming out of her mouth, she expected Nayeon would freeze hearing those words but instead, Jeongyeon heard a faint reply, "I love you too. So much." The word light up every living cells inside her body. Jeongyeon freed herself from Nayeon's embrace and face the girl.
