^Cirilla's clothes from now on.
A couple days had passed since the Purple Wedding. I had no regrets over what happened. In fact, i was ecstatic that i got to see Joffrey die a painful death and watch as there was nothing Cersei could do.
I was inspecting my the blades Sandor had given me, and then the bow that Gendry had made me. Making sure they weren't mistreated when being handled. Sansa was looking out the window of the ship, both of us below deck.
Littlefinger came down the stare, both Sansa and I looked up at him.
"Where are you taking us?" She asked.
"I'm getting married to your Aunt Lysa. She's waiting for us at the Eyrie. You'll both be safe there."I raised my eyebrow, Aunt Lysa?
"Did you kill Joffrey?" She asked walking over to where i was on the bed, even know she knew i had a hand in Joffrey's death.
He gives a dry chuckle, "Did I kill Joffrey? I've been in the Vale for weeks."
Not buying his lie, "I know it was you."
"And who helped me with this conspiracy?" He asked, testing her.
"Well, there was Ser Dontos. You used him to get me out of King's Landing, but you would never trust him to kill the king.
"Why not?" He asked, seeing how smart she had become.
"Because you're too smart to trust a drunk."
"Then perhaps it was your husband." He offered.
"No."
"How do you know?"
"I just do." Sansa states.
"You're right. He wasn't involved in Joffrey's death. But you were. Do you remember that lovely necklace Dontos gave you? I don't suppose you noticed that a stone was missing after the feast."
"The poison. I don't understand. The Lannisters gave you wealth, power. Joffrey made you the Lord of Harrenhal."
"A man with no motive is a man no one suspects. Always keep your foes confused. If they don't know who you are or what you want, they can't know what you plan to do next."
"I don't believe you. If they catch you, they'll put your head on a spike just like my father's. You'd risk that just to confuse them?"
"So many men they risk so little. They spend their lives avoiding danger. And then they die. I'd risk everything to get what I want." He put his hands on her shoulders, i glared up at him. Touching her with his greedy fingers, ugh.
"And what do you want?" I asked, finally speaking up.
"Everything." He saw my glare at him, removing his hands from Sansa's shoulders. "My friendship with the Lannisters was productive. But Joffrey, a vicious boy with a crown on his head, is not a reliable ally. And who could trust a friend like that?"
Lifting my blade out in front of me, "Who could trust you?"
"I don't want friends like me. My new friends are predictable. Very reasonable people. As for what happened to Joffrey, well, that was something my new friends wanted very badly. Nothing like a thoughtful gift to make a new friendship grow strong."He didn't say more. Just excused himself for Sansa and I to think his words over.
Sansa finally spoke to me, "You did it...didn't you."
I looked up at her, "Not all by myself, but i did what i had to do."
Suddenly her arms went around my neck, my arms reaching around her waist. "Thank you, Ciri. We're free." She leans back, tears in her eyes.
"Don't become complacent, sweet wolf. We are not completely free yet." I lowered my voice, "Littlefinger is still planning something. That is the only reason he helped us, we are still important. To whom, i do not know. But we must still be cautious and play the game."
She nodded. I reached into the chest that i had packed, pulling out the doll from father and handing it to her.
"You brought it?" She took the doll gently as if it would turn to dust in her hands.
