Back in our chambers, and after we had both bathed, Sansa sits in a chair while both Shae and I look over her wounds.
"Ow!" Sansa exclaims as Shae wipes the blood from her forehead.
"Shh. It's not deep." I grin facing away from Sansa as Shae says this. She can be so cold sometimes.
"I thought they were going to kill me." Sansa says softly.
Shae, still looking at Sansa's cut, "They thought so, too."
"He hated me, the man who hit me. I saw it in his eyes. Hated me. He never met me before, but he wanted to hurt me."
"Of course he did." Shae said obviously.
"Why? Why would a stranger-"
"Because sweet wolf, You are everything he will never have. Our horses eat better than his children."
Back in front of Sansa, Shae looks into her eyes. "It doesn't matter now. He's dead."
"I would have given them bread if I had it." Then with anger, "I hate the king more than any of them."I glanced at Shae from the corner of my eye, still not sure if she's completely trustworthy, but her next words made my gaze soften.
Grabbing Sansa's shoulder, Shae tells her sternly, "Don't say these things. If the wrong people hear you-"
Sansa grabbed her hand from her shoulder, "But you're not the wrong people."
Shae pulled her hand away and walked back to the table, "Don't trust anybody. Life is safer that way."I agreed, even though i loved my practices with Sandor and Bronn, they are both in service of Lannisters. And Shae had only come in our services after Tyrion came back to King's Landing.
"She is right, you must only trust me sweet wolf. Everyone else has an agenda, and you do not want to be a pawn in their games."
Walking through the keep the next day, Sansa and I decided to spend some alone time together. Sansa loved the gardens, the only place that seemed untouched by the corrupt people of the capitol.
While walking, we came across Sandor going in the opposite direct. I have him a slight nod and small smile, i couldn't help it. I may have seen him as a friend. It doesn't mean that i had to trust him with everything.
Sansa stopped Sandor as he passed us, "I beg pardon, ser." He stopped and turned to us, "I should have come to you after to thank you for saving me. You were so brave."
He looked at her as though she was stupid, "Brave? A dog doesn't need courage to chase off rats."
I raised my eyebrow at him. Couldn't he just accept her thanks and walk away.
"Does it give you joy to scare people?" She asked.
Walking up to us, "No, it gives me joy to kill people." Sansa getting nervous now, i stepped in front of her slightly. "Spare me. You can't tell me Lord Eddard Stark of Winterfell never killed a man."
