A Long Way From Home

Late Night Out

Y/N's POV

It was a full moon. The light cascading onto the water in the rivers, the light so bright. I couldn't sleep thinking that my life was going to be like this forever. I wanted it to be a dream. I had nightmares for several nights before and they were all indicating that something was about to change. Was it what I wanted? I wish I knew the answer. I decided to get up. I was still in the room that Hoseok showed me, but I couldn't sleep so what was the point in staying. I opened the door and made sure that no one else was around. It was empty and quiet. I nodded and walked into the hallway making sure that my steps were light and slow. I walked to the front door and opened it little by little. I swiftly went outside and closed the door shut. Luckily no one was scouting tonight, so they wouldn't see me leave. Seeing the full moon made me feel so powerful for some reason and I changed into my wolf form. My pure white fur stood out from the darkness in the forest, so if another pack happened to be around they would definitely see me lurking. I started to run far away from the house, I ran feeling the breeze rustle through my thick fur. I could feel the moon calling out to me, so I went to find a cliff for me to stand on. I've always wanted to howl at the moon, but I wasn't sure if I'd be letting other wolves know that I was out. I didn't care at this point, all I wanted to do was feel the way it feels to howl at the bright moon. I finally found the cliff I was looking for, it looked perfect. I started to slow my speed and I went to the edge of the cliff that overlooked a valley. This felt like the right spot, I sat down, my ears perked, my head tilted up towards the moon. I could feel my howl coming on, I howled so loud at the moon that wolves could hear it from miles away, but that's not what worried me. What worried me is what if my life didn't have a meaning until now, maybe this was my calling.

In the distance...

???'s POV

Ivory and I were out for a run, she's my mate and she needed some fresh air. We took off from our territory and decided to get into trouble tonight. I didn't know what kind of trouble but my thirst for some chaos was strong.

"Did you hear that?" Ivory said to me through our link.

"What?" I responded looking at her. We both stood there standing still, we heard a wolf howling from a distance. My ears perked up and so did hers.

"That!" She repeated.

"Yeah, I heard it. What to go and check it out?" I asked her through the link and I could feel her smirk.

"Hell yeah!" She answered. We both took off running, tracking where that howling was coming from. As we got closer I could smell the unmarked female. She was alone and that made me smirk really big. Ivory pushed me while we were running and she laughed through the link I snarled and laughed back.

Y/N's POV

After I had my fun at howling at the moon, I decided it was time to go back. Before I stood up I heard bushes being rustled and I looked back, but I didn't see anything. I stood up and turned around about to take off into the forest when I heard that sound again. This time it made me worry a little. Out of nowhere these two wolves appeared, I wasn't sure if they were from my pack or not.

"Well, well, well..." I heard the male say through the mind link. His voice was very deep and it didn't sound like any of the voices from my pack.

"What do we have here?" The female voice said.

"Who are you?" I asked hoping they weren't going to hurt me, I lowered my ears.

"Ivory, looks like this unmarked female is lost." The male voice said through the link.

"Unmarked?" I questioned.

"Ha! She doesn't even seem to know what it means." The female wolf snickered. I lowered my ears all the way down and put my tail between my legs.

"Poor thing is scared to death." The male voice said.

"Am n-not." I responded with my ears still down. Both of the wolves started to walk closer to me and I could see them baring their teeth at me. I stepped further back on the cliff and pushed some rocks off the edge. My foot almost slipped as I was very close to falling.

"Please.. I don't want trouble." I cried hoping that they would spare me.

"Oh, well, I do." The male wolf growled as he got really close to me. I started to lower my head and winced at the proximity. He started to snarl in my face and his teeth were showing a lot. I lowered all the way down to the ground. Another wolf appeared and the male that was too close for comfort turned his head to see who it was.

"Sirius wants you both back in our territory, now." A male wolf said firmly through the link.

"Do we have to?" The male that was standing in front of me questioned as he practically rolled his eyes. He motioned over to me, I was still on the ground with my head lowered.

"You can bring her, but Sirius won't be happy about it." The young male said as the female wolf started to walk away.

"He can take it out on her." The female wolf said looking back at me and growling low, I winced again.

"Looks like you're coming with us, princess." The male wolf mocked as I could sense him smirking.
