A Long Way From Home

Hoseok's POV

"Hoseok, we got another one." I heard Asher say as everyone in the house went outside to see what was going on. I sighed and got out of bed, I quickly put on my clothes and headed outside. As I exited the house I saw a very scared wolf, that was surrounded by my pack. Jungkook was growling at the new wolf and looked back at me.

"Back off, Jungkook. It's okay." I said with a firm tone. Jungkook backed up from the wolf that was now looking at me. I walked up to it and the wolf changed into it's human form.

"So-sorry." The girl said as she looked around at my pack.

"It's alright, no one here will hurt you as long as you answer my questions." I responded as I looked her up and down. She wasn't the girl I saw yesterday, which made me wonder if i'll ever see her again.

"Okay." She said as she looked at me with a small smile.

"What's your name, Sweetheart?" I asked as I looked into her eyes. She gulped as she looked into mine.

"Topaz." She replied now seeming a little more relaxed.

"What are you doing in my territory? Did someone send you here?" I asked her as we heard Jungkook growl again. I looked back at him and shook my head, he nodded and changed back into his human form.

"Everyone go inside, I can handle this." I said as my pack started to make their way inside one by one. Jungkook, Yoongi and Taehyung stayed back to make sure there wasn't going to be any surprise attacks if she wasn't alone. Yoongi is my second in command, the Beta of the group. Topaz seemed hesitant to answer my questions, so Yoongi stepped in.

"I would answer his questions if I were you, doll." Yoongi said with a low voice looking her dead in the eye. She looked at him wide eyed and swallowed hard.

"Okay, okay. I didn't know this was your territory, I was running from these other wolves. I'm not with anyone else, I swear." She responded as she looked back at me, her eyes soft.

"What other wolves? Another pack?" Taehyung asked from behind me making her look over at him.

"I would assume so." She replied.

"How many?" I asked.

"Five." She said as she looked back at me.

"Hoseok, that might be Sirius and his pack of mouth breathers." Taehyung said as he huffed and chuckled a bit.

"Yeah, maybe. They're always looking for trouble around here." I said with a chuckle. Sirius was known as a troublemaker and every pack knew it. He likes to chase the wolves that don't have a pack, mainly the females. He has a thing for females that have not been marked by their pack yet. Their scent is so strong that any male could smell it and want that female for themselves.

"I'm really not looking for trouble." She hesitantly said as she looked around at me and the others. I smiled at her because I knew she was being honest.

"I know, thank you for being cooperative with me." I replied and she smiled back at me.

"If you want to stay with us, you're welcome to." I said and she walked up and hugged me.

"Thank you so much." She smiled.

"You're welcome. You can go inside and meet the others, if you want. I'll have a job for you later." I smiled back at her and she nodded. She walked over to the house and went inside.

"You think we can trust her?" Jungkook asked still seeming a bit suspicious about Topaz. I shook my head and smiled at him.

"Yes, Jungkook. You can relax." I laughed. Yoongi laughed too as he shoved Jungkook a bit.
