Midnight.
You yawned a bit, eyes glued to the screen of one of your favorite games, Super Mario Bros.
It had taken you almost all night to get to the final Bowser level. The smell of sweet victory - and musty socks- was close!
You moved the pixiated plumber into the final room, fully anticipating the large reptile to jump in your direction the moment you moved into view.
It never came.
The final room held nothing, but a small, yellow, pixelated-
"Pikachu??"
The mouse Pokémon seemed to hop around for a moment before vanishing into the room where the princess was usually held.
Interested, you moved Mario to follow the Pikachu.
What was it doing in here? It was never there the last time you played.
The axe dropped and destroyed the platform Bowser usually fought you on, still no sign of the lizard.
The game took over Mario as it always did, bringing him to save the Princess and earn a kiss of thanks.
Peach seemed to be gone as well. The Pikachu had vanished off screen, causing the game to shut down on itself.
Frustration and confusion raked your brain.
Maybe Nintendo added it and broke it?
It didn't seem possible, but you turned to your computer, hoping for answers that costed your victory.
Quickly typing your question into the search bar, the screen opened to several sites as it always did.
Nothing useful.
You sighed and moved to the last site.
Game characters over run your game?
Several reports of game characters appearing in other games have been growing ever steadily, but don't fret, just reset your console, leave this site quickly and your game shall be fixed!
You scanned the information quietly.
Why would they want people to leave the site? Don't they want people to read their information? You questioned yourself and continued to read.
Still here? We advise not!
"But why not?" You couldn't help, but ask outloud.

It slightly unsettled you on how it was written. What was it trying to do? What was it hiding?
A sharp pain in the back of your head pierced your skull.
"Gah..!" You went to feel your head, but nothing could move.
Eyes darting around for answers about the sudden pain, you witnessed the screen go white and pixelated as the game had been.
A few black glitched words slowly moved across the screen.
