A scream sliced the silence of the night.

You jolted awake, slightly shaking from it.

What was that?!?

Looking around, you deemed it to be from outside... In the dead of night...
Where you were told by several people to avoid.

All your senses were alive with fear and panic, but curiosity lured you forward.

Why would they avoid the night? Is it like Minecraft..?

You've only played the blocky game a few times, but you fully remembered the monsters that appeared at night like several other games.

What if they're in danger..?!

Worry for the scream's owner set in.

You had given Toriel your word, but if the person was still alive-

You paced around the room, unsure of what to do.

A few minutes passed as you paced.

Toriel would hopefully understand your decision..

Having made up your mind, you walked out the door into the darkness, a flashlight in hand as you did.

An eerie feeling had set in as you walked toward the direction of the scream that had awoken you.

You walked until you felt you were far enough from your house, something catching your eye.

A bright green light had floated by.

A taunting laugh echoed besides you and a fist slammed into your head.

Yelling and in pain, you turned to see your attacker.

A green ghost gave a laugh of triumph having nailed your head with their fist. Their empty white eyes flashing in the darkness.

You flashed your flashlight at them, fear pulsing through you quickly.

The ghost froze with a yelp, allowimg you to run as fast as you could, the feeling of eyes burning the back of you.

You regreted coming out here in the first place.

Turning the corner into a small alley, you panted, listening for anything in case something followed you.

A screeching noise of metal scraping metal rang out, chilling your spine.

A large figure appeared, scraping a rusted hook along the metal items just outside your hiding place.

The nightmarish fox led his hook into every small corner it could reach, red eyes glowing from the shadows.

Your breath caught in your lungs, not daring you breath in case it heard you.

"Pssst"

You flinched and looked over to see a small leaf waving you over.

Praying it wasn't a trap, you followed it to find a small golden flower with a cute face, "I suggest not going out there buddy" it whispered

"Ya think..?!" You retorted to the flower.

"Golly, you're new aren't ya? Why are you out here without anyone else?" They aksed, looking worried.

"I-I heard a scream "

"There are lot's of screams out here if you listen"

As if on command another shriek rang out.

It made your blood go cold as a sickening crunch followed it.

The flower made a 'tut tut' noise as he shook his head, "You shouldn't be out here."

You nodded, agreeing with the plant, thankful there was something not trying to kill you in the suffocating darkness.

Or so you thought..

You attempted to move, but your legs wouldn't go, "What the..?"

Vines had entangled you, preventing movement.

You looked back at the flower, a feeling of betrayal rising in your chest.

"It's not everyday a human falls into your leaves!" He cackled, the harmless face he once had was gone. Replaced with a face of evil glee.

The vines slowly climbed up your legs, causing you to become ridged,"Golly! What should I do with you.."

Another scraping noise.

The flower's cruel smile formed again as he looked at you.

Realization dawned on you as the flower gave a whistle toward the animatronic that had passed before.

"What are you doing..?!" You whimpered, fear causing you to shake.

"I'm showing you the true world you entered! Do you really think it was all sunshine and happiness like that smiling trashbag and others told you?! It's kill or be killed here!"

You hated this flower already.

You tried to free yourself when he suddenly ducked out of sight, a beam of red light cast upon you.

Turning, the lights came from Nightmare Foxy.

His rusted hook visible and gleaming in his gaze as he slowly walked forward, jaws opening to show sharp teeth.

"Nonononono..!"

You felt teeth meet your body, a hook in your head.

Everything disappeared.

You gasped for breath, looking around the black room.

A screen appeared, casting a white light in your face.
