You slowly turned from the dissapearing back of the skeleton to look at the teacher.

Baldi looked at you curiously, "Ya know you're an odd one.. Sans usually let's players wander by themselves..." he mumbled more to himself than you.

Sans usually left players..? Then why did he lead you around..?

The question swam around in your head a bit as you noticed Baldi leaving back up stairs.

"Are you leaving me..?"

"I just said you can head up here if you want? I have things to grade." He replied, raising an eyebrow at you.

You paused not remembering him saying this, " But you never-"

"I did. Goodness you're like my students. You spaced out after I said Sans usually left you humans. I'm not that boring am I?"

"No! No- you're not, I'm just trying to take everything in" you stammered, embarrassed.

Spacing out was something you were told in the real world by your teachers before you graduated.

Baldi paused and replied somewhat understandingly, "Not used to everything yet. It's alright, I can explain whatever you need in my office" he offered.

You hesitated. The last time you were in his office was during your gameplay of the game and everything crashed upon seeing a skinless character and a banana.

He shrugged and turned to finish the climb of the stairs.

You hurried after him, not wanting to meet the other characters that could be roaming the halls.

Baldi's office was quiet neat on the surface as he opened the door, admitting access for the both of you.

Cautiously, you moved forward into the room to look at the white stone walls.

"I would paint the walls, but of course, I'm not exactly an art teacher " he laughed, obviously trying to tell you there was nothing to worry about.

This wasn't very effective.

Baldi moved and sat at the desk that was near the back, "Anyway, what game brought you here?" He asked, trying to change the subject.

"I was playing a Mario game." you admitted feebly, taking a seat in the chair across from the teacher.

"Which one?"

You quickly explained how your original plan to defeat King Koopa, ended up causing you to be in this world of characters and games.

This didn't seem to shock Baldimore.

"I see, well, Pikachu isn't often careless like that.. Might have seen something. As for Bowser and the Princess- Bowser was late by the sound of it and Peach went to find him before you came. " he suggested.

That.. Makes sense.. you silently mumbled having finally received a clear answer to one question.

"Will I be able to go home..?" You blurted out this question not fully meaning for it to sound desperate.

Baldi, who had looked down to grade a few more questions, paused.

"Well- yes actually." He began, looking up from the paper with the name Christopher at the top of it, "It's a system we have, but it can take a while to charge, specifically a week."

"A week?!"

He nodded, " The Gameboy and the Database are trying to shorten it for you players because if you stay here for longer than two weeks, you're stuck here forever. "

Your heart sank, "Forever..?"

"Unfortunately, but you're lucky we even have that system. We originally didn't, the Gameboy or the 'Glitch' got his name for breaking the system and allowing to let you back. " he folded his arms on his desk after crossing a few answers wrong.

You fell silent. Could you really be trapped forever if you missed this chance? Would your friends and family miss you..? All those memories and ideas you had.. Would it all just dissapear..?

"Hey.. Don't look like that.. It's not all that bad here" Baldi tried reassuring you, but you couldn't shake the sinking feeling.

"I had a few students like you once, they're still here if you look for them. Said this place was paradise, but they never did talk about their homes where you're from..." he trailed off.

This wasn't the best time to talk about the human world.

You felt your stomach give a grumble of protest, but you ignored it.

"Ahh, right. Would you like it eat?" He asked, the empty eyes the game portrayed now soft and understanding.

You wanted to decline, but your stomach wouldn't allow it. You couldn't remember the last time you turned food down anyway.

He stood up and stretched a bit, "What are you hungry for? We have a bit of everything here. Fazbear's has pizza, Brewster's is a café, Food Frenzy has a bit of everything-"

"Those- Aren't those all from games? They sell real food?" You asked, shuddering at the thought of the Animatronics actually moving.

Baldi nodded, "I'll let you choose " he smiled.

Where would you go..?
