(Sorry I posted this today instead of yesterday!! But I really wanted to post it on my birthday (today) instead of the normal Sunday. There will still be normal Sunday posting this week though! Enjoy!!)

THURSDAY - ON SET - 11:09 AM

"Why are they holding hands?" Sophia asked, voice shaky as she stared at the pair in front of her.

"I..." Wyatt hesitated.

As they kept staring at Jack and Finn, who were holding hands as they read from a script casually, Wyatt and Sophia were so confused that they couldn't help but stare.

Nothing could rip their attention away from the two now.

"Stan and Bev!" Followed Andy's voice, then a loud sequence of clapping.

So, maybe one thing could tare their gazes away.

As Sophia and Wyatt ran to the dressing rooms, Sophia looked behind her once last time, catching a holding gaze with jacks eyes, before he instantly looked away again, face flushed.

Sophia made a lop-sided smile, her energy sort of coming back as she ran quicker, nudging and punching Wyatts arm in a tease.

"You think I can do this?"

Jacks attention drew back to the voice. The oh-so familiar face staring at him made his face flush redder.

He coughed. "Why wouldn't you be able to? Do you see yourself on TV?"

Finn rolled his eyes. "Unfortunately." He let out a sigh.

"Hey," Jack grunted in annoyance. "Don't say that. You ever wonder why you're so popular?"

"Cuz I'm hot."

"Very bold of you." Jack snickered.

Finn raised an eyebrow. "It's not true?"

"Of course it's true you dummy!" Jack remarked as he hit the back of Finns head, face as red as his beanie. "But it's also because you're so good at acting. You've been an amazing actor since you were young. I guess you're still relatively young, but I just think it's amazing how you can present yourself so confidently but have so many doubts."

Finn stared off into jacks features. Not because he wasn't listening, nor because Jack was too distracting (though he generally was), but because the words kept replaying in his head, and he wanted a reason to stare off into space as he collected his thoughts.

Jacks face and his words at the same time seemingly making that easier.

"I don't know. I guess I'm just so used to it now."

He felt the grip on his hands tighten. His eyes widened the slightest bit in surprise, looking down at their connected hands.

As he stared deeply into their intertwined fingers, his face got hotter and (he assumed) more colored as his heart raced at one-hundred miles an hour.

Then that smile.

That smile he'd been waiting for.

That smile he'd been wanting from Jack for himself.

Finally came.

And it felt like the undying happiness had finally come out to pierce his heart again.

And this time.

Things seemed to be much better than they were before agreeing to come back to everyone, and everything he'd missed without realizing it.
