Chapter 23

Jughead POV
1 month later

It's time to go home. Toby's not happy about that. I'm packing the rest of our stuff up and Betty is trying to get Toby dressed.

"I don't wanna leave" Toby fusses

"Come on let's get dressed please" Betty pleads

"No!" He screams and starts kicking. Betty stands up and walks out of the room.

I roll my eyes "Uhh I don't need this right now" I sigh and get off the floor and I walk into the bed.

"Come on Tob's we need to get home for kindergarten okay. And also you hurt mommy's feelings okay so you need to apologize to her." I say putting on his clothes. Then I walk out of the room and see Betty outside the door with her head in her hands crying.

"Bubba what's wrong" I say and sit next to her.

She sits up and looks at me. " I got my
little friend last night and I have really bad cramps." She says.

"Bubba why didn't you tell me. I would of   got Toby dressed and let you relax" I say

"I'm sorry" she cries

"Hey it's okay"I say and hug her.

2 hours later.

We are finally home both Betty and Toby are sleeping. So I texted Matt to come down and help me.

"Hey Jughead how was Riverdale." He says and takes Toby out of his car seat.

"It was good." I say and carry Betty out of the car.

Once we got up stairs I got them in bed then I took a nap.

Betty POV

I'm playing with Toby on my phone.

"Mama I wanna make a TikTok" he says

"You do" I ask

"Yeah I watch the video of you and dada doing some and I wanna do one." He says

"Okay man be when your dad wakes up" I say and look at Jug.

"He's drooling" Toby laughs

"Maybe he's having a dream about food." I say

"I'm hungry" Toby says

"Okay let's go get some snacks" I get out of bed and Toby follows me. I walk into the kitchen and see Matthew making some food.

"Hey Matt."

"Hi Betty how are you feeling" he says

"Better what are you making" I say trying to look in the pot.

"Dinner it's chicken, broccoli and cheese." He says

"Ugh broccoli is nasty" Toby says

"But it's also healthy and you need it. Eating Mac and cheese all the time." Matt says and Toby sticks his tongue out at him and runs away.

"You better get your kid" he says and I laugh.

"What you're gonna beat up a 3 year old." I say

"No I'm just not gonna but anymore macaroni." He says

"Yeah right." I say and jughead walks out of the bedroom with his hair a mess and sleep lines on his face.

"Someone had some good sleep" Matt says. Jug just walks up to me and hugs me.

"What baby" I say

"You were supposed to be there when I woke up to cuddle." He says

"Betty I don't know what you did but he is a big softy now." Matthew says laughing a little putting the food in the oven.

"Hey I'm her big softy" Jug says still hugging me.

"You got that right." I smile.
