One month had passed since the adorable duo went to Disney together. Troyler had not broken up, but were stronger than ever, their love apparent in everything they did. However, both Tyler and Troye seemed to be too scared to tell the other those three pesky words.

Today was the day that Troye was going back to Australia. His album would come out in a few weeks, while he was back in his hometown of Perth.

“Tyler, wake up.” Troye pushed back the covers groggily to reveal a sleeping Tyler. He pulled the covers off just to have Tyler pull them back on top of him. “Tyler! I’m leaving soon! Wake up.”

That woke Tyler up. He looked at the clock: 9:46.

“Okay, so you’re going to drop me off at 10:30 to the airport, right? The plane leaves at 1:52.”

“Yeah, sure.” Tyler put his glasses on, then sighed. Checking his phone, he looked at his calendar while Troye was in the bathroom. Upon seeing one particular meeting, Tyler grimaced.

“Shit.”

Tyler had scheduled a meeting at 10 o clock today. The meeting was about his “Tyler Oakley Slumber Party” which was his tour. They had to think of more stops to go to, and more activities to do. Tyler, with urgency, called an Uber so that it could pick Troye up.

Tyler rushed to the other bathroom, changing so he could go to his meeting. The gravity of the situation that Troye was leaving hadn’t quite hit him yet, and the most he could do right now was worry about how he was going to miss his meeting. Thank god it was in his apartment though.

When he got back, Troye was sitting on his bed. “Why did you get up so fast? You don’t need to take me for another half hour.”

“Yeah, I’m really sorry Troye, but I can’t take you. I have a meeting here at 10, so I called you an Uber,” Tyler said with sincerity. He certainly was sad that he couldn’t drop Troye off, but he really had to attend this meeting.

“Tyler, you know I’m leaving, right? Like, I’m going back to Perth. I don’t know the next time we are even going to see each other! And you’re just blowing me, your boyfriend, off for a meeting?”

“I know, I feel terrible, really. But we’ll chat and call everyday, okay?”

“That’s not the point, Tyler! Do you not want to be my boyfriend? Then just tell me! Because, personally, I think it’s pretty shitty when your boyfriend, and best friend, may I add, can’t spend your last few minutes in the same country together. Does that sound okay to you?”

Troye’s words were just falling, rapid fire. Whatever was in his brain was now out in the open, and the way Tyler’s eyes flinched with every line was enough to make him angry. This was his fault. Tyler’s.

HONK.

The Uber outside honked. Troye glared at Tyler, and Tyler flinched. He wanted to sit down and cry, but he didn’t know what to do. And with every minute passing, Tyler’s meeting grew closer.

“Sorry, Troye, but you need to go,” Tyler said, glancing at the red numbers on the clock. 9:53.

Troye’s stare was enough to kill someone, Tyler thought. His brow was furrowed and his eyebrows pulled inwards. His lips, usually so red and full, were now white. His hair stood on one end, and you could practically see his head moving with frustration.

“No, I’m sorry. I’m sorry that I have to go back to Perth. I’m sorry that I sent that stupid video in the first place, because now I know that you don’t actually want to be with me. I’m sorry that I take up your time when you’d much rather be holding meetings. I’m sorry that I fucking love you so much that I’m about to cry, thinking of leaving you. I’m sorry, okay?”
