It's been three weeks. I've been leaving the house and getting to the warehouse at 8 o'clock everyday for the past three weeks. We've all been working our asses off. I'll see Sage again in a day. He'll see me. He'll know his brother is alive.
I'll have to make an excuse for why I'll be gone the entire day. Christian is more suspicious then ever. He's worried. I don't blame him, I'd be worried if I were him too. He thinks I leave every morning for school, then he thinks I go to the gym right after, or yoga. But he's been questioning me.
Right now I'm driving to the warehouse. It's 7:45 and I'm exhausted. These past few weeks have been full of training, planning and absolutely losing my mind. I've managed to mostly avoid Carter, at least as much as I can.
I make sure that whenever I am around him, so is Marcie or a group of people. I don't want to be left alone with him because I'm afraid I'll do something again. I want so badly to be faithful to Christian.
I walk into the warehouse and I'm instantly bombarded by a shirtless Carter sparring with another guy. I watch in silence across the room.
He's very attractive there's no doubt about that. He really is not very similar to Sage. They barely look alike. They have similar eyes but other than that, they don't look remotely like twins.
He's done sparring, he looks at me and then walks upstairs.
"You're drooling." Marcie says, nudging me with her shoulder. I look at her and roll my eyes. "Have you told Christian yet? I mean you and Carter clearly have chemistry."
"No, I have not told Christian yet because there's nothing to tell." I say. She snorts and shakes her head.
"You slept over here. With Carter. And I believe you were nude. So unless you make habits of just sleeping naked in front of people I have to assume you two-"
"Okay. Okay shush. I don't need any other members knowing about that at the moment. I promised myself that I would never cheat on a significant other and I did just that. Multiple times." I mutter.
"Wait, multiple times?" She whisper screams. I pull her into a vacant meeting room and shut the door.
"Yes multiple times, would you be quiet?" I push my hair behind my ear and twist my earring.
"With multiple people? Or just Carter?" She asks raising an eyebrow.
"Just Carter." I sigh. She smiles and then it fades.
"Girl you better have used protection." She says.
"We did, don't worry. I'm just seriously torn. I know I love Christian but I don't think I love him how he thinks. Like I don't think I'm in love with him." I say.
The door to the room opens and Marcie and I are both quiet in half a second.
"What are you two doing in here?" Carter asks. His shirt is now on, god bless.
"Just talking. Girl things." Marcie says. Carter eyes me and her for a second.
"Okay? Uh Eden we need you out here. Last day for prepping and all. Also we need to get you a dress." Carter says.
"A dress?"
"Yeah it's a very formal event. You're going to need a gown." Marcie says. "Why'd you wait until the day before, Carter? C'mon, she has to blow Sage and all the other pig like gang dudes away!" I giggle and Carter sighs.
"Do you want to come with us?" I ask Marcie. Carter gives me a 'why the hell would you do that' look and I give him one back.
"Oh I would love to! I already have a gown, so I will be happy to help you." She salutes me and leaves the room rambling to herself about color schemes.
