In a small town lived a young couple. James and Jane Jones were a very kind couple. Everyone in the town knew who they were. Every child that walked past their house greeted them. They loved children more than anything and children loved them too.

They were both 27 and wanted a child of their own. They married 7 years ago and have been trying for 4 years with no luck. Jane prayed to God every night for a baby. It was their only wish. They were wealthy, successful but their hearts were empty.

They were happy of course but one could feel the emptiness in the heart of the other that couldn't be filled with the love of someone else's child. They were both desperate but they never thought about giving up, not even for a second.

One day at work, Jane passed out. She was rushed quickly to the hospital. James got a call the same day from the hospital. In a heartbeat he ran out of his office and started driving. After what seemed like hours, he finally made it.

The doctor was already waiting for him when he rushed through the door. It was the same doctor they went to for a lot of things. He and James became friends. He told him about trying to have a baby and failing for a long time.

The doctor felt bad for the couple as he also knew how badly they wanted children. James followed him patiently but on the inside, his heart was beating hundreds of miles per hour. He was sweating nervously. He was scared.

What would he do if Jane had gotten heavily sick? What would he do without his soulmate? The love of his life? James didn't want to think about it but it still lingered in his mind. The way to Jane's room felt endless.

As he was standing in front of the door, he inhaled sharply. The doctor put a hand on his shoulder and nodded, signaling him that he may enter. James placed his hand on the doorknob and slowly opened the door.

Upon entering the room, he saw his wife. She was lying on the bed. He noticed she wasn't wearing her clothes she wore to work. Instead she was wearing cute pajamas. He smiled a little. Jane never looked more adorable.

He sat beside her feet and placed his hand on her knee. He didn't notice anything wrong with his wife. She was resting peacefully. He hoped that she was only stressed out, causing her to black out. He sat there with her for a whole hour waiting for her to wake up.

He had the biggest smile on his face when he saw her opening her eyes. She smiled back at him. Every time she smiled, he would fall in love with her all over again. With the help of her husband, Jane sat up and rubbed her eyes.

>>Where am I?<< she spoke softly.

>>Baby you're in the hospital. You passed out at work.<< he answered, caressing her hazelnut hair.

Just as she was nodding, the doctor came in the room.

>>Good, you're awake.<< he said and approached the couple.

>>Is it anything serious Mike?<< James asked nervously.

The doctor chuckled at his question, took a chair and sat down. He turned towards Jane with a smile on his face.

>>Ma'am the reason you passed out was because you're pregnant. Congratulations.<< he said with excitement in his voice.

James' and Jane's eyes widened from shock. After four years of trying they are finally going to have a child. A huge smile crept on James' face as he turned towards his wife and hugged her tightly. He felt his shirt becoming wet. Jane was crying and he was starting to too.

>>We're finally going to have a baby, honey.<< Jane said through a couple of sobs.

Coming back from the hospital, the news of the couple finally having a baby spread like wildfire in their hometown. The entire week, people have been visiting them, bringing along meals that are good for the baby and Jane.

James and Jane appreciated it a lot. They always welcomed their guests, no matter how busy they were at times. Of course, Jane never got out of bed to greet the guests at the door but they did come to her instead.

A lot of children came everyday and helped with the chores. James tried to give money as a thanks but the children would never take it. They always gave the money back and just smiled saying how they can't wait for their new friend to come.

Thanks to them, the house was always clean. Jane was never bored. Her pregnancy was filled with laughter and smiles. James' heart wanted to explode seeing how the baby bump was getting noticeable. They were finally going to have the hole in their heart sealed and never reopened.
