Nine months passed. Luckily without any complications. Jane was sitting comfortably in her bed, reading her favorite book James got her for her birthday. Suddenly she felt her back ache. Thinking that she was in the same position for too long, she shifted in her place.

It seemed to help a little bit. Jane went back to reading her book. A few minutes later she felt some kind of pressure in her below. Using her arms, she pushed herself up and sat at the edge of the bed. Thankfully her husband was at home as he took a break from the job a week before the due date.

>>James!<< she yelled.

She could hear heavy footsteps running towards the bedroom. A small giggle escaped her lips. James appeared on the doorstep, panting heavily from running.

>>What is it honey? Is something wrong?<< he said in between his pants.

She wanted to laugh at the sight of him. Ever since they found out about the pregnancy, James has been running as fast as he could to his wife whenever she called for him. No matter what she asked, he would do it right away. He was, is and will be always ready to move continents for her if she asked.

>>I think it's time..<< she said with a smile.

James stopped panting and rushed towards her. Gently but firmly, he grabbed her by her hand and arm and helped her get up. As soon as her feet touched the floor, a transparent liquid splashed on the floor. They both looked down and then at each other.

>>Now we don't have to think.<< he said as she let out a laugh.

Slowly, they made their way to the car. James carefully put his wife at the front seat and lowered it so it could be more comfortable for her. Then he hurried to his seat and rushed to the hospital.

They arrived quickly and Jane was immediately put in one room. It was all thanks to Mike and the couple couldn't be more thankful to their friend. A couple of nurses came and prepared Jane for the childbirth. They were discussing with her and using terminology James just couldn't understand.

But somehow Jane understood every single word they said. It was at that moment James regretted not reading about the labour and it's stages. He knew how to handle everything and what to expect after but not during childbirth itself.

Hours passed and the hospital floor was filled with Jane's screams and panting. Just by looking at her, James could imagine the pain she was going through. He kept on encouraging her, saying how she's close.

He grabbed her hand which he instantly regretted as Jane was pushing in that moment. It resulted in him now having an icepack in his hand. That didn't stop him from being supportive and encouraging to his beautiful wife.

She appreciated it a lot. If it wasn't for him she would've been emotionally and physically drained long time ago. He even succeeded in making her laugh a couple times. She could see how much he tried and helped her during labour which made her fall in love with him all over again.

>>Come on baby, one last push.<< he said and kissed her on the forehead.

Jane gathered all her remaining strength and pushed. She exhaled after that. A few seconds later they heard a cry of a babygirl. James caressed his wife's hair, giving her a long kiss.

>>You did it baby, you did it.<< he whispered softly and smiled widely.

One of the nurses placed the baby on her chest. Jane smiled and started crying. She lifted her hand and caressed the baby's cheek. The baby grabbed one of Jane's fingers which made her smile even more.

>>How are we going to name her?<< he asked.

>>I was thinking...Miley.<<

>>I love it.<<

>>Good, otherwise I wouldn't accept any of your suggestions.<< she said and laughed along with James.

>>Hello Miley Jones, welcome to the family my little treasure.<<

>>You really do pick out the worst nicknames for children, don't you James?<<

>>You can't blame me for this one, she really is our treasure.<<

>>You're absolutely right.<<

After an hour, Jane is moved to her LDRP room to rest. James couldn't stop staring at Miley. He still had tears in his eyes even though he was smiling like crazy. Jane didn't stop giggling at the sight.

Their friend Mike, the doctor, knocked a few times and entered the room with a serious look on his face. He pulled up a chair and called for James to sit. There was a minute of silence before Mike inhaled and cleared his throat.

>>I have some news for you.<< he said trying not to sound as if he was preparing to say bad news about their baby.

>>Your baby has two bumps on her back, I wouldn't be concerned a lot since it can he fixed by a surgery but I advise that the surgery comes later on as the baby is growing and changing.<< he finished.

James and Jane were holding their hands tightly. Thinking to themselves how the bone deficiency would affect their child's life in the future. They both looked at each other and then at Mike.

>>How long do we have to wait until surgery?<< Jane asked squeezing her husband's hand even tighter.

>>After puberty so no major risks would exist.<< Mike sighed.

The young parents' heart broke. All they could do was make sure she has a normal childhood just like any other child and they were determined that it shall be that way.
