Chapter 10

Ever since Miley brought Gabe home she's been happier and more open to her parents than she already was. James and Jane were very happy for their daughter but they still had their concerns.

The time has come once again for her to meet the boy. That day, Miley sent her mother to buy two silver bracelets which had 'G&M' engraved. She was going to give it to him as a present.

She curled her hair into light locks and wore an all black, loong sleeved, v neck shirt along with white, high waisted skinny jeans. Taking one more look at herself in the mirror, she took the box with bracelets and headed out.

It was some time before midnight when she left. Only because she wanted everything to be perfect tonight. She flew faster than ever, filled with excitement. Sadly, her stamina wasn't as good as she thought.

All the fast flying wore her out as she decided to rest for a moment on the same, old skyscraper she used before. Panting, she looked at the clock. It was 00:05. 'New record' she thought as she smiled proudly.

On the corner of her eye she noticed someone on the roof. She smiled instantly knowing it was Gabe. But her smile faded when she saw him with another girl. They were laughing and holding hands.

Miley's heart broke into million pieces. A tear slid down her cheek as she watched the two being happy with each other. She couldn't confront him at all because she couldn't be seen by anyone.

Once she saw the girl leaning in and kissing Gabe, she dropped the box, took a step off the skyscraper and flew into a dark corner where she couldn't be seen or heard.

She brought her knees to her chest and started crying. Her chest hurt so much and it just kept getting worse and worse. She couldn't stop thinking about what she saw.

>>Why Gabe?<< she'd say barely above a whisper and repeat every now and then.

She kept cradling herself in a dark corner until she heard footsteps. She covered her mouth, not wanting to be heard but it was of no use. The man approached the corner she was in.

>>There you are.<< he said as he put a cloth over her mouth and nose, holding it there until she lost consciousness.
