Chapter One

Sora's POV
(Sora and riku are young at first. So their in the clothes they start off in at the beginning of the game)

"Riku!!" I yell, as I'm running towards him. He turned around to look at me. "Hmm?" He asked.
"How's the raft going?" I asked, breathing heavily. He made eye contact with me making my stomach flutter. "We still need a name." He said.
I nodded thinking.
"How about high wind?" He asked. "I like that..." I said. "What would you name it?" He asked. "Um... how about Excalibur?" I asked. He laughed. "When did you come up with that?" He asked. "I don't know..." I said awkward. He looked down thinking. Then he looked back up at me with a smirk. "How about we settle this?" He said. I smirked back. "Just like old times?" I asked. "A good old race." He said. "You guys back at it again?!" Kairi asked laughing, as she was running towards us. "I'll be the judge." She said.

"The winner gets to be the captain and gets to name the raft!" I said evilly. Riku smirked. "Actually. Change of plans. The winner gets to share a paopu with kairi." He said. "Wait wha-" I started. "Get ready!" She yelled. Riku got in his ready stance. I did as well, still a little confused. Riku likes Kairi? "On your marks! Get set! GO!" She yelled. Me and Riku both zoomed off. I ran on top of the brown bridge we had. I realized I was first. I looked back at Riku who was a little bit behind me. I laughed at him. "Guess I'm gonna share that fruit with ki-" I started, but then found my self falling forwards. My foot got stuck in a crack on the bridge. My face slammed hard on the bridge. "Haha!" Riku laughed as he passed me. I glared at him as he got out of sight. Come on sora, get up! I got up and ran as fast as I could. But I was too late. Riku touched the tree first then he started to run back. I ran faster, trying to touch the tree. I touched it and started to run back. My throat started to burn. I reached the finish line only to see Riku standing there smirking. I stopped in front of them breathing heavily. "That's not fair! I fell!" I said annoyed, still trying to catch my breath. Riku pulled a paopu fruit from behind him. "Guess I'm sharing one of these with Kairi." He said smirking. My mouth dropped. I looked down disappointed. "Whatever man." I said and started to walk away. "Hey wait!" He yelled. I started to walk faster so he couldn't catch up to me. He touched my shoulder, making the butterfly's come again. I made contact with his eyes. "What?" I asked. "I was just playing around. I'm not gonna share a paopu with Kiari don't worry." He said, not moving his hand. I sighed with relief. "Then what does the winner get?" I asked. He shrugged. I grabbed the fruit from his hands. "What are you gonna do with this anyway?" I asked. "You already picked it from the tree. You can't put it back." I said. "I'll just eat it." He said. "By your self?" I asked. He grabbed it from me and threw it far away and it landed in the water. "I changed my mind." He smirked. "You're so complicated." I laughed. I turned around and started to walk away, his hand slipping off my shoulder. I then looked back at him walking backwards. He was looking at me smiling. "I want a rematch tomorrow! I'll win for sure this time!" I yelled smiling. He laughed. "Yeah we'll see about that!" He smiled back.

Riku's POV
I threw another rock into the ocean. Watching it jump three times. Then I heard a portal sound coming from behind me. I turned around and saw Xemnas. I looked back at the ocean annoyed. "I'm in no mood for your games." I said. "Your time is running out." He said harshly. I looked at him. "30 days. Then you come with us. Then you become the thirteenth member. Understand?" He said. "But I'm just a young teen!" I yelled. "The organization will be home. That's where you'll grow up. Not here on this stinking island." He said harshly. I looked down. "But... what about sora?" I asked. "Darkness has no room for love." He said, looking straight at the water. "W-what do you mean love?" I asked. "Don't you love him?" He asked. I looked down. "As a best friend yeah. I need him." I said. "30 days." He said harshly. "Spend those days wisely. They'll go by fast." He said as he turned around and made a portal. I glared at him. "And what if I don't go with you?!" I yelled. He turned and looked at me evilly. "There's darkness inside you Riku, you can't hold it in forever. If you don't join us, I'll kill Sora." He said harshly. Then he disappeared into darkness.
