Ramirez was astonished when Meara placed the padd down on his desk. He snatched it up to double check it was patterns and not her resignation. As he realised it was patterns he breathed a sigh of relief, he leant back and dismissed her. Ugh, why was there still someone standing in front of me.
"What do you want?" He snapped at his First Officer. Grey saddled forward.
"Why do you detest Meara so much? What has she done that has hurt your ego?" He asked. Ramirez's head shot upwards and burnt holes into the man standing before him. He could feel his anger bubbling. How dare he question the actions of his superior officer?! That was...insubordination!!! Grey spoke again. "If you continue to hold an unfair grievance against her, I will have no option but to report you to Starfleet Command. Consider this your warning." Ramirez was fuming.
"You have no right to report me! You're having an inappropriate relationship with someone under your command!" Grey shook his head calmly.
"Callie and I informed Command of our relationship months ago. Don't try and use our relationship against us." Ramirez slammed his hand down on his desk. Grey turned away and walked out.
"Ramirez won't try and mess with you again Callie", he said looking down into her large adoring eyes. God, she was so beautiful. She fluttered her long sooty lashes and buried her head in his arms. It had been a long day, and when he dropped in to see Callie before he surrendered to his bed, he had been so happy to see that she was already cooking him dinner. It was nothing too fancy, but he loved her cooking. It always tasted so fresh and vibrant, which was pretty damn hard to believe considering she used replicated ingredients. It was still hurting him that she couldn't remember their relationship, so little things like this made it so much more bearable.
"Hey, don't fall asleep," he said chuckling. She moaned and carried on hiding her head in his shoulder. "Oh no you don't!" He wrapped his arms around her and picked her up. Grey walked to the bedroom and dropped her on her bed, deaf to her constant protests. He went to walk away but realised someone had hold of his shirt. As he went to make her let go, he couldn't help but pause, looking into her deep eyes. And then she kissed him...
