Meara threw back her head and burst into heavy laughing.
"Oh, I wish I could what's going on in the bridge right now." She giggled. Grey looked at her amused. He knew who Q was because he had heard from a close friend who happened to be posted on the Enterprise. He had a feeling Ramirez would not appreciate Q at all. He pulled Meara back into his arms to snuggle, but she had frozen. "I'm not going nuts." She realized. She sat up properly and looked at Grey. "Q said he wanted to meet the human with the power to travel to different dimensions. That's me." Grey looked downcast, he knew that meant he was going to lose her. Meara noticed the expression on his face. "If I find a way back, then you'll get your Callie back." She said softly. He shook his head.
"But you'll lose me. Clearly, I'm a complete jackass if I haven't made a move on you in your reality." Meara smiled.
"Not true. You're funny and sweet, and a close friend. You're always looking out for me and covering me every time I'm late. And you never fail to buy me coffee whenever we're in the cafeteria together." Grey snorted.
"Wow, that's what really matters, isn't it? I buy you coffee." He said tickling her. Meara squealed and jumped out of reach before he started that again.
"Actually it is." She said nodding rather matter-of-a-factly. Then bursting out laughing again. As she looked around her, a thought struck her. "Do you think Q could take me back to my dimension and give your Callie back?" Grey bit his lip and thought about it.
"It's possible. If that's what you want." He said. Meara sighed and sat back down.
"I'll miss you, but Callie deserves to have you back." She said. He looked so torn. She curled back up in his arms. "It'll be okay. You'll have your fiancee back, and a story to tell the kids eventually, and with a bit of luck, my Grey and I will start our own relationship." She said wistfully. Grey smiled.
"We were talking about having kids, you know." He said smiling. Meara looked up and smiled. Any kids of theirs would be skitso. They would also have the smiles of angels and the personalities of devils. The thought of it made her giggle. Grey looked at her. "Yeah, I know. You don't need to tell me." He said laughing. She grinned.
"What do you want to eat then?" She asked. "It's about time we had something to eat after everything." He gave a sly grin before pushing her down deep into the chaise. "Huh, no," she said pushing him back up. "I meant food." He groaned and stood up before stretching.
"Okay, okay, let's go to the cafeteria, at least we'll be able to catch up on the chaos Q has probably caused." Meara snorted.
"Not a bad idea. Oh, what I would give to see Ramirez's face."
