Meara woke up in a certain person's arms. Again. She rubbed her head trying to remember what happened.
The memory of last night was dawning on her.
She kissed him.
He kissed back.
And it didn't stop there...She could feel her face burning red as the details forced themselves upon her. Meara looked down at the sleeping man beside her. Any second now the alarm would go off and he would wake up. She gently sighed to herself. In one way, she was kinda glad that she'd ended up in some alternate reality. But, wouldn't that mean there was another Meara in her reality wondering why Grey didn't love her? She had to find out how to go back. Then she could make things right with her Grey, and give this Grey his Meara back. Even if it meant going back to never being loved. Her heart throbbed when she thought of those she'd lost.
Meara's parents had died in a turbolift accident. The lift got stuck and eventually, they ran out of air. Despite all the amazing wonders of this modern world, no one figured out where they were until far too late. They had been going to see her. She hadn't seen them in over a week and they had been worrying about her. It was in this way that Meara constantly blamed herself. If she had just picked up the phone rather than shutting everyone out! But they were gone now. Nothing would change that. She laid back down and rubbed her head into Grey's neck as he flickered open his eyes. He smiled at her and brushed a stray hair away.
"Good morning beautiful," he whispered, almost laughing when she blushed and tried to hide her head. "You okay?" He said examining her worried face. Meara just shook her head. She didn't want to talk about it today. Grey raised an eyebrow and scooped her up in his arms, tickling her stomach, and laughing when she squealed. "Is this my girl? My girl's a pig!" He said chuckling every time she squealed. Meara desperately tried to wriggle away but his grasp was just too strong.
"Stop! Please!" She cried out as he went in again. She kicked out trying to escape, but Grey grabbed her feet and began tickling them as well. She gasped and screamed. Tickling was something that had become Meara's greatest weakness. For god's sake, she had won in a battle against a Klingon before, but if the Klingon had tried tickling her... Well, it's safe to say that he would still have his pride intact. Grey was ruthless, he didn't stop until there was no longer a single part of her that hadn't been tickled. When he eventually released his prisoner, Meara half ran, half stumbled out of bed until out of arm's reach.
"Come on Miss Piggy, we need to get up," he said laughing as she cautiously stepped around him to get to the bathroom. Grey grinned. He counted to three before jumping up and chasing her. Meara screamed again and tried to run for the door, but it was too late, he had her imprisoned within his arms again. "Uh uh, lady, breakfast first, or you'll accidentally forget again." He carried a squirming Meara to the kitchen before setting her down at the table. He laughed again at her scowling face. She was so cute when she scowled. He sauntered over to the replicator and ordered two plates of American-style pancakes with hot maple syrup, squirty cream, and fresh fruits. Even Meara looked impressed. He placed a plate down in front of her and then sat himself down beside her. Meara paused.
"Where's the coffee?" She innocently asked. Grey narrowed his eyes at her. The cheek!
"I get you a plateful of delicious pancakes and you're still complaining? How exactly do I satisfy your Majesty?" She pretended to think about it.
"You more than satisfied me last night," Meara said smirking. Grey choked on his mouthful. He took a long deep look at her.
"Don't say you didn't ask for this," he said. Grey stood up before picking her up and throwing her over his shoulder. Oh yes, they were gonna be late for duty, but it was gonna be oh so worth it.
