Summer Story

There's a lot that was said
A lot of tears were shed
Times change and so do we
But my mind still thinks your heart belongs to me
Ten Thousand hours and a few seconds
Summer sunshine and muddy rains
The way we mingled on about stuff
Now I just stare at the stars with a huff
Treehouse parties and swimming pool fun
Even the summer feels dark with no sun
Jumbled thoughts skipping ropes in my mind
There's nothing I can do to change my mind
Melted ice creams and beach sunsets
Thousand hours and a few seconds
My heart still hurts but summers coming to an end
And so will this summer story come to an end.
Until next summer I bid you goodbye
But don't keep your hopes high
I might take another road to drive.
