Chapter 13.

Ummm... Maybe I could google what's in the vile. I sit In science head on the desk. I got see what's in the vile it was a virus. So she was trying to kill me. I check my phone again, this time a text pops up.

From Jake:

Hey Freckles (hehe Brynn ;) ) Kat and I are at la hospital.

To Jake:

Wtf? Why?

From Jake:

Because Kat's bro had a car crash :(

To Jake:

Crap.. How is he?

From Jake:

still breathing. He's got a few broken ribs and an broken arm.

To Jake:

Sorry to hear.. Can I come and visit?

From Jake:

Sure.

I get up and collet my books when the bell goes. I wait for the bus which will take me to the local hospital. As I stroll in I see Jake waiting for me.

"Hey Jake!"

I yell he turns to face me, he looks like he hasn't slept. He's pacing and turns to look at me.

"Come on."

He says and we walk up the stairs, room 110. He opens it and I see Kat asleep on the chair closet to her brother. With Maxie in her lap all curled up. He looked battered and bruise, it broke my heart. Kat was still in her school uniform and kinda hanged off the chair. I see an older dude in the back, head in hands. That's Nick I'm guessing, Jake pays his back.

"Who this?"

He asked Jake.

"This is a friend from school her name is Jamie."

"Imma get a coffee, want one?"

He ask Jake, he elbows him.

"Sure grab Kat one and a hot chocolate for Maxie please?"

"Yea sure kid.. I've heard wonderful things about you Jamie."

He says and walks out.

"Sorry about that, Kat and him are close."

I hear a loud yawn and she Kat up, she puts Maxie back on the chair. Her eyes are red and she looks sleepy.

"Hey Freckles."

I say and she looks around the room.

"Nick went to get coffee."

Jake tells her, she nods.

"Ok.. So why is Freckles here?"

"Wanted to say hi."

I say and wave at her, she's probable still mad at the removedly human comment.

"And I wanted to say sorry."

"It's Fine Jamie, I didn't care then. I don't care now, I'm just sleepy."

"Troops?"

I say and hold out my hand. She shakes it and I get a call from dad.

"Gotta go."

I say and Jake offers to drive me home. We debate about it for a while, then we get into his car. He drops me off and then he drives off. That was weird even for Jake, I decide to sleep it off.

When I wake up dad is home with the kids. He's a police officer and I walk into the kitchen. I see his laptop is open, I decide to do some snooping. I wiggy the mouse around and a wanted poster with Jake on it pops up. Holy mouldy, i get a text from Brynn.

Meet me at the school in 20.

I change in Jeans and a large top and run out of the house. I wait for Brynn in the science room, she's 10 minutes late. I hand her the vile and she goes to run off.

"It's a virus."

I ye after her, she keeps running. Faster and faster, I sigh and lay on the floor.
