It was the doorbell. I sighed and opened the door. I almost got a heart attack seeing the person.
It was Percy Jackson. He was dressed casually:orange T-shirt,battered blue jeans,white Reeboks. He smiled a million-dollar smile that made my heart go 1000 times its usual speed. I was absolutely sure he could hear it.(cringe)
"Hi,Percy. What are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be with your gal pal, Drew?, I trilled, instantly regretting my words.
Percy looked confused. Before he could think I lost my marbles, I invited him inside.
"So why would you be hear?",I mentally slapped myself for the awful grammar. I was kind of hoping he was here to deliver the message that Drew had died of some sort of terminal illness. But it was not like I was jealous. How juvenile would that be?
"I've kinda been flunking my grades so I thought maybe you could tutor me?",he asked.
"Well,you could've asked Octavian. I mean he is the second smartest person in the school,right? Or just Grover? Travis? The Queen? Hitler,maybe?" At that point I was just ratting out names that came to my mind.
"You want the Queen to tutor me? Why don't you want to do it?", he asked.I was wondering the same thing too. My crush himself is giving me an opportunity to spend more time with him and I was indirectly saying no? Maybe I have drowned in the dark cesspool that is my life and it is just a near-death hallucination. Before going into psychological analysis or puke butterflies on Percy I just said a simple word of 'yes'.
He smiled and left as I was wondering why my life is such trash. Honestly a raccoon wouldn't wanna dig through me.
I searched through Netflix for more options. Honestly I think nowadays, to have your show in Netflix you just have to have the word 'Extreme' in front. Like 'Extreme Butchers'. They're just stupidly buying everything as if it could compensate for F.R.I.E.N.D.S or The Office. 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️
I had to watch Miss Americana again.
