"Mr. Tickles!" I said to my best friend, Danny as I see him walk in the school doors.
"Hey Arora," He said with a soft smile. "Did you see the NCIS marathon?" He questioned.
"Yes! Oh my gosh, it was awesome," I said smiling brightly.
"Arora!" I turn around to see one of my other friends, Nick, coming towards me.
"What's up?" I asked him as he finally reached Danny and me.
"Nothing much, but did you see the new kid?" He questioned, Danny and I turn to look at each other and quickly shook our heads, muttering a 'no'.
"Well yeah there's some new kid and his name is Xander DiCaprio. He's a senior. He just moved next door to me," Nick said smiling a little as the bell rings.
Who transfers schools during the second quarter of their senior year?
I shrugged my shoulders "Bye Nick, see you at lunch. Danny, I'll see you in second-period Chemistry," I said giving both Danny and Nick quick side hugs and walking away.
Walking to my class I stop at my locker and grab my books and head to history. Seriously, why would someone transfer halfway through the first semester? That must really suck. Not only that but it must be extremely hard to transfer.
Walking into class I take a seat, and begin to write the notes down that were on the board.
History flies by, and the next thing I know is that I'm sitting next to Danny in our Chemistry class.
"Hey." I smiled at him.
"Hey," He smiled back. "I met the new kid. He's in my Trig class. He's actually kind of nice. And I invited him to sit with us at lunch today," He said.
I look at him with wide eyes. "You did what now?" I asked, shocked.
"You heard me, Rory. It won't kill you to be nice to someone," He said grinning at me.
"I'm dying already," I said, which he only rolled his eyes at in response.
"Oh, don't be so overdramatic, it'll be fine. And if you don't like the kid then you can always talk to me."
"You are so conceited, who said that I ever wanted to talk to you?" I asked, a smile finding its way onto my face.
"I learn from the best." He said and we both start laughing.
~Xander's POV~
Gosh, the only reason I'm doing this is for her. My mate. Arora. I already graduated. I don't need to do this. But I want to.
The first time I saw her war at the New York State sectional football game. The only problem was, was that she was cheering for the wrong team.
*Flashback*
It was the beginning of the first quarter.
The only reason I was still playing for a high school team was that my father thought it would teach me how to get along with others. It didn't.
I was standing on the sidelines waiting for one of my coaches to call me in when I smelled a mixture of cinnamon and chocolate. It was the most amazing scent ever, which meant that it could only belong to my mate.
My wolf was clawing at my insides trying to get out, to mark and claim our mate as ours. It took everything in me too not seek her out and do as my wolf wanted.
I knew for a fact that it wasn't anyone from our side because I knew everyone who was there already.
The cheerleaders from the other team started walking over to our side in a single file line, and that's when I spotted her. A small brunette wearing a maroon and gold cheer uniform, at the front of the line. My mate.
