~Arora's POV~

We'd been driving for a few hours before Xander finally decided to stop.

He first stopped at a gas station to obviously get gas, and then stopped at a cute little diner named Emily's.

It was a quiet place the wasn't very full. You could hear the low murmur of people talking, and the faint sound of country music.
We were seated, and soon after an older lady came and took our orders.

"So are you excited?" Xander asked.

"For what? To move in with you?"

"Well yeah."

"Just so you know, we aren't going to be living in the pack house."

My eyebrows knitted in confusion, "Then where will be staying?" I asked.

"My personal home. Of course." He said.

"Uh..okay."

"Are you okay with that?" He asked me, looking concerned.

"Yeah, yeah. I'm fine with that. Just caught me off guard a little."

The waitress came and placed our food down in front of us.

"I take it I'm not going to start school right away?" I asked.

Xander finished chewing the food in his mouth before he answered me. "I'd suggest you wait a little while, just to get used to things." He said. "But if you want to start sometime this week, that could be arranged."

I nodded my head, "So when do you suggest I start?"

He contemplated my question for a few moments. "A couple of weeks. Maybe three. Just to get a feel of everything."

"Okay. Sounds good."

I wasn't holding back on this. Not with him.

I was completely ready to move in with him, and to be his mate and Luna.

It was just something I felt so comfortable with. I couldn't even explain it.

It felt like, for the first time in years, I was safe. I was safe when I was with Xander. I was comfortable around him.

Call me what you will, whether it be crazy or downright stupid, but I was already in love with him.

I don't know when I came to that conclusion, but I did.

I hadn't even know him that long, a couple of months at most, but I'd already felt like I'd known him my whole life.

I knew he wouldn't hurt me, and it wasn't just because it would kill him if he did because of the mate bond. It was because he actually cared for me.

I'd never had that in my life.

The only person who'd ever really cared for me was my sister.

My mom and step dad? Well yeah, I loved them. But they weren't cut out to be parents. They weren't meant to be parents.

My biological father could care less about me. I hadn't even heard a single word from him in a couple of years, and that was a-Okay with me.

Even when I was with him, I didn't exist to him. And I didn't expect it to change when I wasn't with him.

"Ready?" Xander's voice broke me out of my thoughts.

"Huh?" I said, before nodding my head, "Yeah."

We both got up and he paid before we walked out hand in hand.

When we were in the car I finally asked, "How much longer til' we get there?"
